Realme adds to its Realme 6 series with the 48MP AI Quad Camera Realme 6i. The device was launched along with the Realme 6 in July 2020 and is a successor to its previous Realme 5i. Realme 6i is a lite version of the Realme 6 series, so you can expect it to offer decent specs at affordable pricing.
Realme 6i with 4GB/128GB storage configuration was launched at Rs. 25,990. Realme has dropped the price of the Realme 6i, and now it is available at Rs. 23,990. Let’s see what the phone has to offer at this price tag to be on the list of best smartphones under 25,000 in Nepal.
Realme 6i Overview
Realme 6i is a cheaper alternative to Realme 6. With a slightly cut in price, the device offers quite good specs like a 48MP Quad Camera, a gaming-focused chipset, and a massive 5000mAh battery.
Design and Display
Realme 6i maintains a classic masterpiece design, that the company calls the “Master Design”, designed by a Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. It has adopted the rare spray coating process that gives the phone a glossy back with a matte frame made of plastic. Realme 6i is available in two color variations – White Milk and Green Tea.
Realme 6i showcases a 6.5-inch mini-drop fullscreen, that gives you an immersive experience. The display boasts an HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and an 89.8% screen-to-body ratio. The display supports Eye Care mode and comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.
The rear panel comes with a 48MP Quad camera setup vertically aligned alongside LED flash, fingerprint scanner, and the Realme branding at the bottom left of the phone. Other than the design itself, the back setup is similar to what we’ve seen in its predecessor Realme 5i. The glass front has a mini-drop notch housing a selfie camera.
Performance
The processing of the Realme 6i is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 (12nm) chipset. It is an octa-core processor that has a main frequency of up to 2.0GHz. The processor is complemented with the Mali G52 1000MHz GPU. The result is greater performance and a smooth gaming experience.
For the memory, Realme 6i comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM and internal storage of 64GB/128GB expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSDX slot. Though, only a 4GB/128GB variant has been launched in Nepal.
On the software front, Realme 6i runs on Android 10 based Realme UI.
Camera
Realme 6i packs a 48MP AI Quad Camera system equipped with a 48MP f/1.8 ISOCELL GM1 sensor as a primary lens, an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree field of view, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens with 4cm focal length, and a 2MP f/2.4 Black & White Portrait lens. It can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps and 720p@30fps.
Upfront, Realme 6i features a 16MP f/2.0 super clear selfie with AI Beauty mode. The front camera shoots videos at 1080p@30fps.
Battery
Realme 6i comes with a 5000 mAh massive battery with 18W Quick Charge technology via USB Type-C port. It also offers App Quick Freeze, Screen Battery Optimization, and Reverse Charging.
Along with the long-lasting battery life of up to 39-day Standby as per the company claims, the company has adopted triple safety protection that eases your concern.
