Realme is one of the fastest-growing brands in Nepal. With its successful launch of Realme 5 series phones in Nepal, Realme Nepal launched the Realme 6 under the Realme 6 series in July 2020. With a slight increase in price, Realme has made an attempt to give its customer a value-for-money deal as Realme 6 bring a lot to the table with enough upgrades over its predecessor.
Realme 6 Overview
For a mid-range smartphone, Realme 6 does stand out in the market with its 64MP Pro camera, hole punch 90Hz ultra-smooth display, and more. Realme 6, a successor to the Realme 5, is priced at Rs. 32,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant and competes with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Design and Display
Realme 6 sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display panel with a 90Hz Refresh Rate that gives you an ultra-smooth experience. The display boasts an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 480 nits brightness, and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. With thin side bezels, the device provides a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90.5%.
Realme has brought yet another design to its smartphone. Realme 6 showcases a new Comet Design inspired by the comet built with the new optical plating technology that gives the phone a bright and very attractive look. Realme named its two color variations – Comet White and Comet Blue.
Realme 6 has a glossy back and frame made of plastic with a splash-resistant design. The main highlight is its 64MP AI Quad camera setup in the back. The LED flash is placed next to the camera module, and the Realme branding at the bottom not so different from its previous generation Realme 5.
However, the glass front does not have a notch; instead, it has a single hole-punch in-display selfie. Also, it features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Performance
The performance of the Realme 6 is powered by a powerful processor – MediaTek MT6785 Helio G90T (12nm), designed for an excellent mobile gaming experience.
It is an octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) processor backed with ARM-based Mali-G76 MC4 GPU.
To add up to your experience, Realme 6 comes with three variants of LPDDR4X RAM – 4GB/6GB/8GB and UFS 2.1 storage of 64GB/128GB expandable up to 256GB. Though, only the higher-end 8GB/128GB was launched in Nepal. On the software front, Realme 6 runs on Android 10 based Realme UI.
Camera
Realme 6 packs a 64MP AI Quad Camera system equipped with a Samsung 64MP f/1.8 GW1 sensor as the primary lens, an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide-angle lens that gives you a 119-degree field of view, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens with 4cm focal length, and a 2MP f/2.4 Black & White Portrait lens. The camera comes with Super NightScape 2.0, Chrome Boost, AI Beauty, HDR, etc.
Upfront, the device features a 16MP f/2.0 in-display selfie with AI Beauty mode, HDR mode, and Bokeh Effect.
Video recordings max out at 4K@30fps from the rear camera and also can record at 1080p@30/60/120fps. The front camera shoots at 1080p@30fps. The phone also features Ultra Image Stabilization Max, Ultra Wide-Angle Video, and 120fps Slo-mo video shooting in the selfie.
Battery
Realme 6 comes with a massive 4300 mAh battery capacity with 30W Flash Charge technology. With higher charging efficiency and fewer heating issues, the company claims round-the-clock battery life, which can be fully charged in one hour.

Realme 6 Price in Nepal and Availability
Realme 6 was launched with an 8GB/128GB variant at a price of Rs. 32,990. It was available for purchase in all official Realme stores in Nepal starting from the 14th of July.
