Tecno POVA Overview
POVA stands for Power-packed battery, Oustanding Processor, Versatile Camera, and Ample Storage. The phone packs an Helio G80 processor with a 6000 mAh battery, dual IC flash charge, a big dot-in display, and more.
Design and Display
Tecno POVA presents a glossy design in the back with a great combination of color and texture. The phone is available in three color designs – Magic Blue, Speed Purple, and Dazzle Black. Moreover, the rear panel has a quad-camera setup with a Quad-LED flash confined inside a rectangular camera module. There is also a fingerprint sensor next to the camera module.
The glass front has a 6.8-inch Dot-in display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The IPS LCD panel has a circular cutout on the top left corner that houses a front-facing camera. The display has a 480 nits peak brightness, 264 PPI pixel density, and retains a screen aspect ratio of 90.4%.
Performance and Internals
Tecno POVA integrates MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, an octa-core 2.0 GHz processor with the built-in HyperEngine Game Technology to deliver a stable and smooth gaming experience. Mali-G52 MC2 GPU handles the graphics. Helio G80 is MediaTek’s gaming optimized chipset which also powered devices like Redmi 9 Prime and POCO M2.
The device boots on HiOS 7.0 based on the Android 10 operating system. The phone is available with high-speed 6GB RAM for fluent multitasking and smooth game performance and 128GB ROM for larger storage. You also get a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera
Tecno POVA boasts a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP f/1.85 aperture primary lens. Accompanying it is a 2MP depth control lens, a 2MP macro lens, and an AI lens packed inside a camera bump with a super quad-LED flash. It includes features like AI beauty, Super night mode, Portrait mode, AI detection, etc. Also, the rear camera can capture videos at 1440p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.
The dot-in display packs an 8MP AI selfie camera accompanied by a Dual front flash. It gets modes like AI Beauty and Portrait mode. Likewise, it can record videos at 1080p@30fps.

Tecno POVA packs a 6000 mAh super big battery that gives a long-lasting battery life. It supports 18W Dual IC Flash Charge with increased efficiency by 20% compared with 18W single IC fast charge as per the company claims. Though, the device uses a micro USB port for charging.
POVA uses thermal conductive material and 3D multi-layer graphite for better heat dissipation solution. The phone has a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side. Moreover, for a better gaming experience, you get features like Game Space that supports performance boosting and anti-disturb setting, Game Mode to ensure smooth gaming operation, and Game Assistant V2.0 to activate quick access toolbar.
