RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 Launched in China with 11th Gen Intel Processor

RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 are launched in China alongside the Redmi K40 series and Redmi AirDots 3. The laptop will compete against the Apple MacBook Pro lineup. They are already available for pre-booking at the starting price of 4,499 Yuan (around Rs. 81,500) in China. The expected price for the RedmiBook 14 and 15 in Nepal is NPR 90,000 and NPR 100,000, respectively.

RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 Overview

The 11th Gen Intel processors power the new RedmiBook Pro series. While both the laptops are primarily similar, they also have some differences in terms of their processor. Let’s find out the detailed specifications.

Design

These laptops are made up of 6 series aerospace-grade aluminum alloy material that is 1.4 times stronger than 5 series aluminum alloy. Carved by CNC technology, they have a thin and light polished body with 17 processes.

The ultra-fine ceramic sandblasted gives a high-quality texture. RedmiBook 14 Pro and RedmiBook 15 Pro weigh 1.46 kg and 1.79 kg, respectively.

Display

The RedmiBook Pro 15 has a 15-inch with a 3.2K screen and 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the RedmiBook Pro 14 has a 14-inch with a 2.5K screen and 60Hz refresh rate. The RedmiBook Pro 15 variant has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, while the RedmiBook 14 Pro has a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Talking about the screen-to-body ratio, the Pro 14 has 88.2%, whereas the Pro 15 has 89.1%. You enjoy a 16:10 screen with 242ppi density. They are TUV Rheinland certified for low blue light consumption, which filters blue light and doesn’t cast color compared to software. 

Performance

With similarity in design and display, the laptops hold a lot of difference in performance while they have 11th, Gen Intel CPUs. The RedmiBook 14 Pro uses a Tiger Lake-U series processor, while the RedmiBook 15 Pro has a Tiger Lake H35 processor.  

RedmiBook Pro 14 comes with core i5 and core i7 variants integrated with either Intel Xe graphics or a dedicated 2GB Nvidia MX450 GPU, which has 2.5 times performance improvement compared to Integrated Graphics. On the other side, RedmiBook 15 Pro has new Irish Xe-LP graphics. Both of them are excellent graphics, and you can also choose to get a dedicated GPU on these laptops.

Nvidia MX450 2GB GPU option is also available for both the laptops to look after the graphics.

Both of the graphics are excellent, while the processor of the RedmiBook 15 Pro is ultraportable for gaming. Equipped with an innovative Turing architecture, they achieve game-level graphics performance, graphic creation, video editing, and fast gaming. It has a hurricane cooling system and packs a 6mm diameter double heat pipe bigger fan.

The memory configuration has 16GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200 MHz and 512 GB of M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The laptops run on Windows 10 OS. It also has the fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button.

Battery

RedmiBook 14 Pro has a 56Whr battery with 65W charging via USB Type-C power adapter. On the other hand, a 70Whr battery fuels the RedmiBook Pro 15 with 100W fast charging. It takes 35 minutes for the battery to fill 50% of the charge and has 12 hours of local video playback on both laptops.

Keyboard

The keyboard on the RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 is backlit with the travel of 1.5mm in Pro 15 and 1.3mm in Pro 14.

Both of the laptops boast a stereo speaker. A built-in camera of 720p is present for video calling.

The laptop’s connectivity option is WiFi 6, a  Type-C port for charging and transferring data, a regular Type-C port, an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 port, USB 2.0, and a Thunderbolt 4. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 Expected Price in Nepal and Availability

RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 are currently available for pre-order in China at the price of 4,499 Yuan and 4,999 Yuan, respectively, with the purchase to be available from 4th March. After making some calculations, Nepal’s expected price is NPR 90,000 and NPR 105,000 for the RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15.
