Oppo launched a new smartphone in its A Series – Oppo A54, on 26th March 2021 in Indonesia. Oppo A54 Overview
Oppo A54 is a budget-friendly smartphone with a massive battery, stylish design, and chipset from Mediatek. Similarly, it has a triple camera setup on the rear with a punch-hole selfie on the front. Oppo A54 is the successor to the Oppo A53.
Design and Build Quality
Oppo A54 has a 6.51-inches IPS LCD with HD+ resolution. The display has a refresh rate of 60Hz. Similarly, the selfie is a punch hole in the top-left corner. On the rear, it hosts a triple camera inside a rectangular module.
The smartphone has IPX4 water resistance, keeping it safe from an accidental splash of water or sweats and rain. Oppo A54 comes in two color variants: Crystal Black and Starry Blue. It weighs 192 grams and measures 163.6 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm. The body of Oppo A54 is designed for a slimmer feel and comfortable to the hands.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric verification. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack port.
Performance
The smartphone has an Helio P35 chipset manufactured on the 12nm process. It further combines 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The memory is expandable via a MicroSD slot for up to 256GB more. PowerVR GE8320 looks after the graphics of the smartphone.
Oppo A54 runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Camera
Oppo A54 features a triple camera, including LED flash. The rear camera on the back houses a 13 MP main camera with a couple of 2 MP sensor for macro and depth camera.
Oppo A54 has a 16 MP punch-hole selfie on the front. It is equipped with an AI algorithm, which automatically adjusts skin color and ambient light.
Both the camera, i.e., front and rear, can record video in 1080p@30ps.
Battery
Oppo A54 packs a 5,000 mAh cell that supports 18W fast charging via USB Type-C port. The battery provides up to 19.9 hours of video streaming and 41 hours of non-stop music.
Oppo A54 also features a Super Power Saving Mode to maximize the smartphone battery when only 5% is left. Due to this mode, the 5% battery gives 85 minutes of WhatsApp chat and 91 minutes of the call. Also, the cool Optimized Overnight Charging features automatically adjust the charging speed during sleeping hours to prevent overcharging.
