Oppo F19 Pro with Dual-View Video Feature, Launched in Nepal

After lots of speculations, leaks, and rumors, Oppo has finally unveiled the F19 series devices in India, consisting of two phones: F19 Pro and F19 Pro+. The F19 series falls under the Oppo F series lineup. Devices under the F series fall in the mid-range device category and are known for their sleek design and lightweight build.

The F19 series devices were unveiled by the company in India through an online event. The F19 Pro is officially priced at INR 21,490 for the base variant with an 8/128 GB configuration. Similarly, the F19 Pro+ is officially priced at INR 25,990 for the configuration of 8/128 GB. The Oppo F19 Pro officially launched in Nepal on March 16. The price of Oppo F19 Pro in Nepal is NPR 44,990 for the base variant of 8/128 GB.

Oppo F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ Overview

Oppo F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ come as the successor to the Oppo F17 series, which includes Oppo F17 and F17 Pro launched last year. The F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ offer the same design and very similar set of features, differing in few aspects like support for 5G, processor, and charging speed.

Design and Display

Like other devices in the F series, the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ have a very sleek design with a thickness of 7.8mm. The F19 Pro is available in Crystal Silver and Fluid Black color option. The Nepali customers will also receive a Fantastic Purple color option for the F19 Pro. Similarly, the F19 Pro+ is available in Fluid Black and Space Silver color options.

Both the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ offer a 6.43 inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels in a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The display is still a regular 60 Hz panel with a touch sampling rate of 135 Hz, which can be increased to 180 Hz in the game mode. The display features a left-aligned punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera and has a peak brightness of 800 nits.

Performance and Memory

The biggest difference between the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ is its processor. The Oppo F19 Pro+ is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G processor with Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. The Dimensity 800U is a 5G capable octa-core processor based on a 7 nm process.

The F19 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 Processor with PowerVR GM9446 GPU. The Helio P95 is based on the 12nm process and is also used in Oppo F17 and F 17 Pro. However, to compensate for the old processor, Oppo has added a new System performance optimizer that reduces lag.

The F19 Pro is available in two memory configurations of 8 GB RAM with either 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. However, the F19 Pro+ is only available in a single memory configuration of 8 GB RAM with 128 GB of storage. As for the software, both of the devices will come with ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

Camera

The F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ features a rear quad-camera setup consisting of a 48 MP primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor of f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP macro lens of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor of f/2.4 aperture. The primary rear camera features gyro EIS and can take up o 4K videos at 30 fps.

Upfront, the selfie camera on both of these phones is a 16 MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture, capable of taking 1080p videos at 30 fps. However, it is likely that the variant coming to Nepal will offer a 32 MP selfie camera. The rear camera supports AI color portrait with the Pro+ model also supporting AI highlight portrait videos in low light.

Battery and other Features

Both of these devices pack a 4310 mAH battery. However, the F19 Pro has support for 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. Oppo claims that 5 minutes of charge can provide up to 3.2 hours of talk time. In contrast, the F19 Pro+ supports 50W 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The company claims that 5 mins of charge in F19 Pro+ can provide up to 5 hours of talk time.

For Biometrics, both of the devices offer an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The company has included a charger adapter as well as earphones in the box.
