Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 comes with a Super AMOLED display, a 48MP quad-camera array, Qualcomm’s octa-core processor, up to 6GB of RAM, the latest Android version, and a 5000 mAh battery to fuel the power.

Design and Display

Xiaomi has opted to bring a brand new design to the table with its Redmi Note 10 series. Unlike its previous iterations of the Redmi Note series that were based on Aura design, Xiaomi is going with the new Evol design that highlights a smooth gradient design with a glossy finish at the back. The body is slim with a curved back, flattened ends, and tapered edges. The rear panel features a quad-camera setup with a new camera arrangement and the fingerprint sensor is side-mounted.

The main selling point is the Super AMOLED screen used in the phone. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 employs a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display panel registered 1100 nits of peak brightness, a screen contrast ratio of 4500000:1, and supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut. 

The display also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supports color temperature adjustments with Standard mode, Sunlight mode, and Night mode. Moreover, The Redmi Note 10 has 360-degree light sensors, Reading mode 3.0, and Low blue light certified by SGS. 

Performance and Internals

For powering the Redmi Note 10, Xiaomi adopts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 mobile platform with Adreno 612 GPU. The SoC is a 64-bits 11 nm process node-based octa-core CPU with Kryo 460 clocked up to 2.3 GHz. The silicon chip is complemented with 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128 GB of UFS 2.2 technology flash storage, expandable.

On the software front, the phone runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.

Camera

The redesigned camera module on the rear panel packs an AI quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP primary camera with a Sony IMX582 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, and an f/1.79 aperture. Accompanying the main camera is a 2MP f/2.4 aperture macro sensor for close-up shots, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera with a 118-degree field of view, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

Upfront, the Redmi Note 10 equips a 13MP In-display front camera with an aperture of f/2.5 and 1.12μm pixel size. 

The rear camera setup is capable of recording up to 4K videos at 30 fps. It can also shoot up to 1080p ultrawide angle videos at 30fps and support slow-motion recording at 720p@120fps/240fps/960fps. The front camera can capture videos at 1080p@30fps and 720p@30fps.

Battery and Other Features

The Redmi Note 10 integrates a massive 5000 mAh battery. It comes with a 33W Fast Charging support via a USB Type-C reversible connector port. The device ships with a 33W Fast Charger inside the box to fuel up the device. Other features include Hi-Res audio with dual stereo speakers, a Z-axis vibration motor for improved haptics, and an IP53 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance.
