Motorola has launched a new device, the Moto G30, alongside the Moto G10, under its Moto G series lineup. The Moto G series is a budget-oriented series from the company. The device will be available for purchase officially in some European countries by the end of this month. However, there is no news regarding the global availability of the device.
The Motorola Moto G30 is officially priced at €180, which is around NPR 25,400 for the 4/128 GB configuration.
Motorola Moto G30 Overview
Motorola Moto G30 is a budget-oriented device launched alongside the Motorola Moto G10. The device comes with an IP52 rating and a higher 90 Hz refresh rate screen.
Design and Display
The device has a polycarbonate body with a matte finish on the back panel and features an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance. The device measures 9.1 mm in thickness and weighs 200 grams, and comes in color options of Phantom Black and Pastel Sky.
It offers a 6.5- inches IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels in a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The display has a smooth refresh rate of 90 Hz and features a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, the Moto G30 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with Adreno 610 GPU. It comes in two memory configurations of 4 GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB RAM coupled with 128 GB of internal storage.
The device comes in a single SIM and a dual Sim variant. The single-SIM variant features a dedicated microSD card slot to extend the device’s internal storage, while the dual SIM variant features the hybrid microSD card slot. As for the software on the device, it runs on Android 11, out of the box.
Camera
The camera module on the rear panel of the device features a quad camera setup consisting of a 64 MP primary lens of f/1.7 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens of f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP depth sensor of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP macro lens of f/2.4 aperture, and an LED flash. Upfront, the device features a 13 MP selfie camera of f/2.2 aperture housed inside the waterdrop notch.
The primary sensor on the back features quad pixel technology, which allows pixel binning and improved low light photography. Due to the limitation of Snapdragon 662, the device cannot record 4K videos. However, it can record 1080p videos at 30 and 60 fps.
Battery and Others
The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging technology over a USB Type C port. For biometrics, it offers a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device also features a dedicated Google Assistant button, and for connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and GPS but does not support 5G.
