    OFFICIAL: Elephone U3H NFC Launched in Nepal through Daraz

    A Chinese brand Elephone, known for manufacturing budget to mid-range smartphones with good built quality, made its entry in Nepal with the Elephone U3H. The phone was launched in April 2019. In Nepal, Daraz exclusively launched the phone in the second week of January 2021. Elephone U3H price of in Nepal is NPR 24,990.

    Elephone U3H Overview

    The phone has excellent storage and memory capacity, but many of the specifications are outdated since it was launched in 2019. And you also have other good options available in the market for the same budget you spend. Anyway, let’s know more about this Chinese phone as its current flagship phone of the company.

    Design and Build Quality

    U3H has a stylish design, with a plastic and metal frame body giving lightweight to the phone. The display is an IPS Capacitive touchscreen with 6.53 inches and 1080x 2340 pixels. For protection, it has a 2.5D curved glass screen. The phone weighs 187 grams. The smartphone comes in two color variants: Green and Black.

    A selfie camera is a punch hole on the top-left corner. A fingerprint sensor lies on the back panel. Similarly, the dual-camera lies on the phone’s top left corner vertically. There is no audio jack and infrared range sensor.

    At the bottom, we get a USB Type-C port and a speaker. On the left, the phone has a volume rocker and power button. SIM tray is on the right side, taking either one SIM card and a microSD or two SIM cards.

    Performance

    MediaTek Helio P70 powers the phone with quad-core ARM @ Cortex-A73 MPCoreTM clocking at 2.0GHz. GPU is a Mali-G72 MP3. Other smartphones like Oppo Reno 2F and Vivo V15 also have a similar chipset.

    Elephone-U3H

    The two variants of RAM, i.e., 6GB and 8GB, with an internal storage of 128GB and 256GB, are available. Its relatively weak GPU may not give a good gaming performance.

    The phone boots on the Android 9.0 operating system. Like most of the smaller Chinese brand smartphone, the U3H may also not get any updates to the next Android iteration,

    Camera

    Elephone U3H has a dual camera with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary camera and 5MP depth and a LED flash. Features for the camera include autofocus, continuous shooting, panorama, HDR, and ISO setting.

    Video resolution of up to 1080p @ 30fps is recordable.

    The selfie snapper is a 24MP Sony IMX 576 sensor. The phone has face recognition too.

    Video of 1080@30fps is recordable from the front camera.

    Battery

    The phone has a  Li-Po 3500 mAh, non-removable battery, giving a 400h of standby time and 30h of normal usage. The battery supports 10W Charging and Wireless Charging.

    Elephone U3H Price in Nepal and availability

    Elephone U3H’s price is NPR 24,990 and NPR 29,990 for the 6/128 GB variant and 8/256 GB variant, respectively. The official distributor for the phone is the Global Electric Trade Concern. The phone is purchasable via Daraz.

    It will be much interesting to know whether the brand gets acceptance in the Nepali tech market or not. Since the Samsung Galaxy M21 and Redmi Note 9 gives better performance with the same or even less budget.
