Vivo Y53s 5G Overview
Vivo Y53s is a successor of Vivo Y52s launched in 2020. The 5G compatible phone comes with a dual rear camera system. It features a wide display and a high refresh rate display and the back panel has a stylish finish. Further, it is powered by a Qualcomm chipset with a battery backup of 5000mAh.
Design and Display
The phone has a body dimension of 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.50mm and weighs 189 grams. At the front, a water-drop notch houses the camera. There is a Silver ion plating on the rear panel for a glossy effect. The fingerprint scanner is side mounted.
It features a 6.58 inches IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels. The display screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. You can choose from three different color variations – Sea Salt, Starry Night, and Iridescent.
Performance and Memory
Vivo Y53s is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. It has integrated X51 5G modem for the 5G connectivity. The 8nm architecture Octa-core has four Cortex-A76 and four Cortex-A55 CPU cores. Adreno 619 handles the graphics unit. This configuration provides twice the performance of the predecessor’s Snapdragon 460.
It is available in the memory variant of 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. There is also a memory expansion using a microSD card. It runs on OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11. In terms of audio, the loudspeaker has a Super Volume boost of up to 94dB, whereas Super Audio 2.0 supports auto sound adjustment.
Camera
The rear camera system has a dual camera setup that comprises a 64MP primary lens with an aperture of f/1.79 and a secondary lens of a 2MP macro sensor with a 4cm focus distance. An LED flash is also attached but the ultra-wide sensor has been compromised for 5G compatibility.
At the front, the water-drop notch holds an 8MP lens with an f/2.0 for selfie which can record videos at 1080p @30fps. The rear main camera also has Electronic Image Stabilization and can shoot videos at 1080p @30fps/60fps.
Battery and Connectivity
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with Fast charging technology. It supports 18W Fast charging.
