Vivo Y70t 5G with Samsung Exynos 880 SoC and 4,500 mAh Battery, Goes Official in China

The Chinese tech giant- Vivo launched a new smartphone in its Y Series as Vivo Y70t 5G on 3rd June 2021 in its home country. The smartphone’s starting price in China is CNY 1,499 (around NPR 27436) for the base variant of 6/128 GB. The price of the higher variant i.e., 8/128 GB is CNY 1,699 (roughly NPR 31,097) and finally CNY 1,999 for 8/256 GB variant (around NPR 36,588).

The expected price of Vivo Y70t in Nepal is NPR 29,999 for the 6/128 GB model, NPR 34,999 for the 8/128 GB model, and NPR 39,999 for the 8/256 GB model.

Vivo Y70t 5G Overview

Vivo Y70t is identical to the last year’s Vivo Y51 in terms of specifications. And Vivo Y51 is itself similar to the Vivo Y70s.  All of them have a chipset powered by Samsung Exynos 880.

Design and Build Quality

Vivo Y70t features a 6.53-inches IPS LCD. The phone has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Likewise, it has a punch hole for the selfie on the top-left of the display. On the rear side, it features a triple-camera vertically aligned.

The smartphone is not capable of supporting HDR content. The refresh rate of Vivo Y70t is 60Hz. Vivo Y70t measures a physical dimension of 162.05 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 190 grams.

A 3.5mm headphone jack lies next to the USB Type-C port on the bottom. The smartphone has three color options of Black, White, and Blue.

A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is embedded on the power button. It also has Face Wake facial recognition.

Performance

Powering the Vivo Y70t is Samsung’s Exynos 880 Soc.  It has an 8 nm fabrication process and has eight core; the clocking speed is up to 2.0GHz.

It pairs with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage; the inbuilt storage is expandable via a microSD card. Mali G76 MP5 handles the graphics of the smartphone.

It also has a 90mm liquid-cooling heat pipe and multi-layer graphite heat sink of about 10,000 sq. mm; it combines with AI smart power-saving function and thermal gel. It will let the temperature of the CPU decline by 10-degree Celsius.

FuntouchOS 10.5 on top of Android 10 covers the software front. FunTouch OS 10.5 is the company’s OS. 

Camera

Vivo Y70t features a triple camera setup on the rear. It has a 48 MP primary camera whose lens is an f/1.8. Similarly, it has a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth camera; they have an aperture of f/2.4. The main camera supports 10x digital zoom with EIS.

The rear camera can record the footage of 4K at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 30 or 60 fps.

The smartphone sports an 8 MP selfie camera on the front with the lens of f/2.0. It can record the footage in 1080p at 30 frames per second.

Battery

The smartphone packs a 4,500 mAh cell. It supports 18W fast charging. Similarly, the AI power-saving engine improves energy efficiency and reduces energy consumption.

The battery has 8 hours of gameplay time, around 8 hours of video playtime, and around 15 hours of reading time.
