Samsung launched its 2021 flagship S21 series in the beginning of the year. The next generation flagship lineup includes Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. As a successor of Samsung Galaxy S20 Series, S21 models come with some feature upgrades like 5G compatibility, powerful chipset and also changes on specs.
Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus Overview
Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus have slightly different design specs than Galaxy S21 Ultra, with flat display screen instead of curved edge like the S20 series. Both variants feature a large 6+ inches display with a punch hole cut out for front camera and with the same rear camera setup. Both comes with powerful processor and high capacity battery backup.
Design and Display
The build quality of both S21 and S21 Plus is premium standard with glass body and Gorilla Glass Victus protection on front screen. The iconic contour cut at the back houses the rear camera, which blends with the metallic frame of the device. The fingerprint scanner is set under display with ultrasonic sensor. The available color variations are Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, Phantom Pink and Phantom Violet.
Galaxy S21 features a 6.2 inches display whereas S21 Plus flaunts a slightly larger 6.7 inches display, both have Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity-O display with an HDR10+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. They have an aspect ratio of 20:9 with 120Hz refresh rate and 421ppi pixel density for S21 and 394ppi density for S21 Plus. The peak brightness of both phones is 1300 nits.
Performance and Memory
The processor integration for Galaxy S21 series varies regionally in which the US/China/Korea variant are powered with the flagship chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and the international version is fueled with Exynos 2100. The US/China/Korea version comes with Octa-core processor with 1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680 alongside Adreno 660 GPU. In contrast, the international version is based on Octa-core processor with 1×2.9 GHz Cortex-X1 & 3×2.80 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A55 alongside Mali-G78 MP14.

The flagship phones offer many other interesting camera features along with high quality lens.
Battery and Connectivity
Both variants carry a 4000mAH battery with Fast charging support. The battery supports 25W Fast charging, 15W Fast wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging, allowing you to charge your device quickly and also charge other devices.
The connectivity line includes Single or Hybrid Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, FM radio, USB 3.2, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB On-The-Go, NFC.
