‘Realme GT Neo Five’ smartphone launched with 240 watt fast charging

For the last few years, smartphone manufacturers have been in a race to increase charging speed. From 65 to 100 watts, now 150 watt chargers have been released.

The Chinese company Realme has announced that it will bring a faster charger for the upcoming phones as the charger of that speed is not enough. The company will provide a charger with 240 watt charging speed for the upcoming ‘Realme GT Neo Five’ phone.

According to Realme, this is the highest speed supported by the Type-C port. But the company has not revealed how many minutes the charger takes to fully charge the phone.

However, another company, Oppo, claims that a phone with a 4400 mAh battery can be fully charged in just nine minutes with a 240 watt fast charger. Therefore, it is estimated that Realme’s charger can take the same amount of time to fully charge.

The USB Standard Body (USB IF) also states that 240 watts is the highest speed available on the Type-C interface.
