Oppo is one of the leading and well-known smartphone brands in Nepal. With competitors increasing their influence in Nepal’s mid-range smartphone market by launching various new smartphones, Oppo has also launched Oppo A52 alongside Oppo A31. Oppo A52 is the latest lineup of the company’s mid-range phone.
Although it was released internationally in April 2020, it was launched a few months later, in June 2020 in Nepal, due to the lockdown. The phone is officially priced at Rs. 29,990 in the Nepali market.

Design and Display
The body of the Oppo A52 is made from plastic. The phone’s back panel has a glossy finish and consists of a rectangular camera module housing its rear camera setup. The fingerprint sensor of the A52 has been moved from the back panel as seen in its predecessor to the side.
The A52 has a thickness of 8.9mm and weighs 192 grams. The dimension of the phone is 162 x 75.5 x 8.9 mm. The Oppo A52 smartphone is available in Twilight Black and Stream White.
Upfront, the A52 features a 6.5-inch TFT-LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels in a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen to body ratio of the phone is 90.5%, made possible by a single punch hole cutout at the upper left corner of the screen to house the front-facing camera. The screen has a peak brightness of up to 480 nits.
Performance and Memory
The Oppo A52 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and Adreno 610 GPU. The Snapdragon 665 processor is based on 11nm architecture with octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver).
The phone comes on the configuration of 4GB RAM with 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage. The internal storage capacity can be extended using an external SD card in the hybrid sim/microSD card slot. The device runs on ColorOS7.1 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Camera
The rear quad camera setup of Oppo A52 consists of 12MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultrawide sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor.
These cameras are arranged inside the rectangular camera module and the LED flash. The rear camera setup can shoot 4k videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30,60 and 120fps and features a gyro-EIS.
The front-facing camera in Oppo A52 is a 16 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The default camera app offers Photo, Video, Night, Portrait, Expert, Panorama, Time-Lapse, Slow-Motion modes.
Battery
The Oppo A52 is backed up by a massive 5000 mAh battery, with the support of 18-watt fast charging technology. According to Oppo, the device has a talk time of about 34 hours, and audio playback time of about 50 hours, and a video playback time of about 7 hours.
The unique feature of the Oppo A52 is its stereo speaker setup, which is very rare in phones at that price range.
