OnePlus launched a new smartphone – OnePlus 2 5G on 22nd July 2021. It is the successor to the OnePlus Nord, which was launched last year.
OnePlus Nepal has launched the OnePlus Nord 2 5G on 25th July 2021 in Nepal. The price of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G in Nepal is NPR 50,000 for the base variant of 6/128 GB, NPR 53,500 for the 8/128 GB model, and NPR 62,000 for the 12/256 GB variant.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G Overview
OnePlus Nord 2 offers flagship features at a lower price as we know the OnePlus mobile prices in Nepal are quite expensive. OnePlus Nord 2 has improved hardware, a better camera, and a large battery with a fast charge.
Design and Build Quality
OnePlus Nord 2 is identical to OnePlus Nord. It has a 6.43-inches Fluid AMOLED display of 1080p resolution. The smartphone has HDR10+ support with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Likewise, the display has a punch hole, housing the selfie camera.
OnePlus Nord 2 has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and a plastic frame, while the back is glass. The back is glossy with little curved edges. It has the volume rocker on the left, whereas the power key and three-step silencer lie on the right. The top of the smartphone houses a secondary mic. Likewise, the bottom has a primary mic, mouthpiece, dual-SIM tray, USB Type-C port, and a speaker.
The smartphone is available in three color versions: Gray Sierra, Blue Haze, and Green Wood. The Green Wood version has faux leather on the back, making it a little lighter; it weighs 184 grams. The other versions weigh 189 grams.
An incredibly fast and accurate fingerprint reader is available under the display of the smartphone.
Performance
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G features MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI 5G processor. It has a fabrication process of 6 nm. The chipset is the best of its kind, which is comparable to the Snapdragon 870. Following this, the octa-core processor has a core configuration of 1+3+4 -1 x 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 + 3 x 2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 + 4 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55.
Similarly, the Mali-G77 handles the graphics of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. On the other hand, the RAM options are 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. At the same time, the ROM options are 128GB and 256 GB.
The smartphone runs Android 11 based on OxygenOS 11.3. OnePlus Nord 2 is the first smartphone to boot OxygenOS 11.3.
Camera
OnePlus Nord 2 5G offers flagship camera sensors. It has a triple camera with a primary camera being 50 MP; it is a Sony sensor and has optical image stabilization. The other cameras are an ultra-wide camera of 8 MP from Sony and a depth sensor of 2 MP.
Around the camera setup, it has a dual-LED dual-tone flash. The camera has a night mode, AI scene enhancement, expert mode, etc. The rear camera can record the footage in 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 30/60fps, and 720p at 30/60/240 fps
For selfies, OnePlus Nord 2 has a 32 MP Sony camera. Video from the front camera is recordable in 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 30fps.
Battery
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G packs a 4,500 mAh battery, a 10% increase compared to the OnePlus Nord. The battery can last for a day. Likewise, it supports a 65W Wrap charge.
According to the advertisement, the battery takes 30 minutes to fill a full charge of 100%. Additionally, with 15 minutes of charge, the battery gets the power to run for a whole day.
