OnePlus Nord was a big hit as the cheapest flagship standard smartphone, launched in 2020. The leading Chinese manufacturer has brought Nord CE 5G as the Nord successor for this year. It is a mid-range phone with the best offerings on premium quality product. There has already been confirmation for its release in Nepal soon. Here, we will discuss more about its specs and features with the availability.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G Overview

For a mid-range device, Nord CE comes with a high end build quality and specs sheet. Both the body material and internal elements are promising. It features a triple rear camera and a 16MP front camera. Qualcomm chipset powers the phone and has a 4500mAh battery backup. There are three memory variants with large storage space.

Design and Display

It has a polycarbonate body and framing with a slim and lightweight design. The glass front has a corner punch hole cutout and the back has a linear camera arrangement. The body dimension of Nord CE 5G is 73.5 x 159.2 x 7.9mm and weighs 170 grams. You will find three different color choices – Charcoal Ink, Silver Ray, and Blue Void.

It flaunts a 6.43-inches Fluid AMOLED panel with an FHD+ screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It has a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth display and scrolling. The screen supports peak brightness of 410 nits and has a 20:9 aspects ratio and 84.9% screen-to-boy ratio. An under-display fingerprint sensor is used for biometrics.

Performance and Memory

Nord CE 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G, a 5G ready chipset. It is based on an 8nm architecture Octa-core processor with 2×2.2 GHz Kryo-570 cores and 6×1.8 GHz Kryo-570 cores. The graphics processing unit integrates Adreno 619. It operates on Android 11 with OxygenOS on top.

It is available in three memory variants of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB with internal memory options for 128GB and 256GB. As a major update to the other phones in Nord series Nord like N10 and N100 5G, the Nord CE 5G will provide 3 years of security and 2 years of software updates.

Camera

The triple camera system comprises a 64MP main camera with an aperture of f /1.79 equipped with an OmniVision sensor. The secondary camera has an 8MP lens ultra-wide lens with 119º Field of View and alongside a 2MP mono lens with an f/2.4 and an LED flash.

At the front, the punch hole cutout houses a 16MP Sony IMX471 lens with an f/2.45 for selfie. The rear camera can record videos up to 4k @30fps while the front camera can shoot at 1080p @60fps. However, there is no additional features like Optical Image Stabilization or EIS.

Battery and Connectivity

Nord CE 5G carries a 4500mAh battery with Wrap charge technology. It supports the Warp Charge 30T Plus standard that the company claims to fill 70% battery just in half an hour.

The connectivity line includes Dual-SIM (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou / NavIC, USB Type-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G.
