MSI Modern 14 Is a more budget-oriented machine that is stylish, portable, and more powerful. It is the latest 11th gen sleek with an aluminum construction which has a solid build quality. Design & Display
MSI Modern 14 is a very thin 14 inches Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. It is 32cm wide, 22cm deep, and around 1.7cm thick, making an easy chuck into the bag. Modern 14 is powered by the latest 11th generation Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It features a solid military-grade aluminum chassis and comes with a matte texture to it. There are some rubber parts at the hinge to make it easier to lift the laptop. It weighs 1.3Kg.
It has a pretty good build quality. Some rubber feet are at the bottom that will raise from the surface when you open the lid and gives proper airflow access underneath to keep the modern 14 running cool and a slightly more precise keyboard angle. There are two 2W speaker grilles are on each side at the bottom to elevate the experience of watching movies. The Laptop is specially designed to work in bright environments with 72% NTSC color coverage (close to 100% sRGB) and is also perfect for portability.
Ports and Slots
Looking over the sides, we do have a respectable number of ports to access. On the left, you can find a barrel plug for a DC charger, a full-size HDMI, a thunderbolt 4/Type-C port, and a convenient SD card reader, while on the right sits two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, 3.5mm combined audio jack, and two LED indicator lights for power and charging respectively.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The build quality inside the keyboard is average. The keys are spaced out pretty well, having a 1.5mm travel, and it has a clear font on the black keys with a clear backlit on the keyboard. A backlit keyboard is specially designed for night sessions illuminated at 1.3 kg (2.9 pounds).
