Huawei GT 2 Pro with Qi wireless charging is now available in the Nepali market. It is an upgraded version of Huawei’s smartwatch GT 2 launched in 2020. The new iteration comes with many similar features with few more updates.
Huawei GT 2 Pro Overview
GT 2 Pro is available in two different variants: Sport and Classic, with slightly varying build quality. The Sports model has a silicon strap, while Classis has a superior strap made of leather. Huawei claims that there are more than 200 feature options to choose from.
Design and Display
The smartwatch body has a titanium frame with ceramic back and sapphire watch dials. It carries two functional buttons at the side for power switch and function control. It is powered by a Kirin A1 chipset.
It features a 1.39 inch Circular AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution. With a water resistance of 5ATM, it can survive 50m underwater with no damage for 10 minutes.
Fitness Tracking
Huawei GT 2 Pro is a complete sports friendly watch in which you can find 100+ workout modes, with 17 professional and 85 custom modes. Some newly added sport modes include ‘Golf mode’ that measures the angle and speed of swing, also has ‘Skiing’ and ‘Snowboarding’ modes. It can automatically detect 6 different workouts, including indoor/outdoor running, indoor/outdoor walking, elliptical, and rowing.
Other health tools include TrueSeen 4.0 for high accuracy heart rate monitoring, TruSleep 2.0 sleep tracking, TruRelax stress monitoring, blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) measurement and VO2Max oxygen consumption measurement.
GPS and Alert Sensors
A built-in GPS with the new ‘Route Back’ feature enables you to record and retrace your travel route while walking around an unknown area so that you can easily find your start point. It doesn’t have a native mapping app and neither supports any third party service integration.
It also notifies you about sudden atmospheric pressure change and gives bad weather alerts. Sensors with improved light transmission and better machine learning make such features more reliable.
Huawei GT 2 Pro Battery
Its battery lasts for 2 weeks, with a backup for 30 hours of continuous GPS mode and up to 24 of music playback. Wireless charging provides an additional 10 hours of usage with just 5 minutes of charge.
It is compatible with Qi wireless charging, making it possible to charge the battery with almost any typical wireless charger.
Storage and Connectivity
GT 2 Pro has an internal storage capacity of 4GB, where you can store up to 500 songs. You can make calls directly from the smartwatch using an active Bluetooth connection.
Huawei smartphones with NFC and running EMUI 11 or later can easily share photos through the new “Huawei Share OneHop” feature. The “Remote Shutter” feature for smartphones running EMUI 8.1 or later allows remotely taking pictures from the watch.
