Oppo Enco X Overview
The Enco X is a premium TWS offering of Oppo. The earphone features active noise cancellation (ANC), IP54 dust and water resistance, and Wireless Charging, and more.
Design
Design-wise, the Oppo Enco X takes inspiration from Apple Airpods, opting for the in-ear stem design instead of steam less design like Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. However, the in-ear stem design features a short stem with silicone ear tips.
The case has an elliptical shape with a 66.3 x 49 x 21.7mm dimension and weighs 42.5 grams without the earphone and 52.5 grams with the entire setup. The case has a LED indicator on the front.
The Enco X features IP 54 dust and water resistance and is available in Black, Green, and White color options.
Audio
Oppo worked with Danish loudspeaker manufacturer Dynaudio to fine-tune the earphones. These earphones are equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm balanced membrane drivers. The device features DBEE 3.0 sound system, which brings Hi-Fi audio system to the earphones.
The device supports LDHC along with SBC and AAC audio codec and features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). However, this feature is only available to devices with ColorOS 7 and ColorOS 11. Each bud packs three microphones. The ANC functionality uses two microphones in each bud with four noise reduction modes: Max Noise Cancellation, Noise Cancellation, Transparency, and Noise Cancellation Off. The remaining microphone is used for the voice capture of the user.
Battery and Connectivity
Each bud of the Enco X has a 44 mAh of the built-in battery. With this battery, the buds can last up to 4 hours of non-stop listening in Strong Noise Cancellation mode and 5.5 hours of non-stop listening with Noise Cancelation Off mode.
The case also packs a 535 mAh battery, which can extend the battery life to 20 hours in Strong Noise Cancellation mode and 25 hours with Noise Cancelation Off mode. The case consists of a USB Type C port for charging, which takes 110 minutes to charge. The earbuds take 80 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. The case also can be charged using any Qi wireless charging.
The Enco X uses Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to the devices and has a range of 10 meters. There is also a binaural low latency mode, which reduces the Bluetooth audio transmission delay to as low as 47ms. The Oppo Enco X can be connected to both android and ios devices.
