Nokia smartphones no more retain as much high market value as they used to before. Still, they have been occasionally launching new models with decent specs and low prices to keep up with the competitors. Nokia G20 is one of the latest releases of the brand. They recently launched six more models under Nokia X, Nokia G and C series.
Nokia G20 Overview
Nokia G20 offers a rear quad camera with an 8MP front camera. It comes with a 5050mAH battery that gives standby backup for several days. It features a 6.52 inches display with a 2.5D protection glass. The overall device performance and stability are reasonable for the given price range of Rs. 22,425.
Design and Display
It has a Nordic design-build and has a 164.9 x 76 x 9.2 mm body dimension, weighing 197g. The front has a bezel running throughout the screen with an Infinity-V notch on top and the Nokia branding at the bottom. The back has a glossy plastic material with a circular bump for the quad camera setup. It is available in two color variations: Glacier and Night.
Nokia G20 features a 6.52 IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The aspect ratio of the display screen is 20:9 with an 81.9% screen-to-body ratio and has a 269ppi pixel density. It supports a side mounted fingerprint scanner, and also a dedicated google assistant button on the side.
Performance and Memory
Nokia G20 is powered by a Mediatek Helio G35 based on an Octa-core processor carrying 4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics unit is integrated with PowerVR GE8320. The company guarantees monthly security updates on the device and software updates for up to two years.
It is available in the memory configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. You can also increase the memory space using an external microSD. It runs on android 11.
Camera
The rear quad camera comprises a 48MP primary camera, supported by a 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera placement looks sporty, arranged indie a circular bump and an LED Flash below it.
The Infinity-V notch at the front houses an 8MP camera for selfie and video chatting. Both rear and front cameras can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.
Battery and Connectivity
Nokia G20 has a Li-Po 5050mAh battery that the company claims to last for 2-3 days with 5 hours of active usage on a single charge. It supports 10W charging which is not quite impressive in compared to other phones under same pricing.
The device connectivity includes 4G LTE, Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Beidou and USB Type-C.
