Vivo announced the iQOO 8 Series on 17th August 2021. The flagship series includes iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. Here, we are discussing the iQOO 8 in detail. As the smartphone is selling with the starting price of CNY 3,799 for the base variant in China, the expected price for the iQOO 8 in Nepal is NPR 72,000 for the 8/128 GB model and NPR 80,000 for the 12/256 GB.
iQOO 8 Overview
iQOO 8 is a flagship smartphone with an excellent display, large battery, and interestingly faster charging technology. As, compared to its sibling – iQOO 8 Pro, it is also affordable.
Design and Build Quality
iQOO 8 sports a 6.56-inches AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a speedy refresh rate of 120Hz. Likewise, the smartphone has an integrated independent display chip with many advanced technologies bringing qualitative visual effects.
It has smooth curves and a slim design with an excellent grip, letting you handle the phone with one hand. Additionally, iQOO 8 is available in three color options: Legendary Edition, White in Color, Burn (orange like color), and Shining (Black like color). It weighs 200 grams.
The rear camera sits in the L shape inside a rectangular module, while the front camera is a punch hole at the top-center of the display.
iQOO 8 supports both fingerprint recognition as well as facial recognition.
Performance
The chipset has a 5 nm process technology and a three-cluster eight-core design. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 powers the iQOO 8, bringing anti-sky performance. Similarly, the processor further combines 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage or 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage. Adreno 660 is responsible for the graphics handling.
The smartphone packs a VC power pump liquid cooling heat dissipation system. It helps to reduce the temperature of the smartphone during heavy gaming and escorts the continuous high-performance.
iQOO 8 runs on OriginsOS on top of Android 11.

Camera
The triple camera on the iQOO 8 is the main camera, ultra-wide camera, and portrait camera. The primary camera has a 48 MP Sony IMX598 sensor with a lens aperture of f/1.79. Likewise, the ultra-wide camera has a 13 MP sensor with a 120-degree field of view and a lens aperture of f/2.2. Further, the portrait camera is also a 13 MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.46.
The rear camera has features such as night scene, portrait, photo, AR cute shooting, slow motion, document correction, time slow door, time-lapse photography, etc. Likewise, the rear camera supports up to 4K video recording, and the slow-motion camera supports up to 1080p.
For video chatting and taking selfies, the smartphone has a 16 MP front camera with a lens aperture of f/2.45. Some of the shooting modes of the cameras are night scene, portrait photo, video, short video/VLOG, dynamic photo, AR cute shooting, double exposure, and dual-view video.
The Selfie camera supports 1080p @ 30fps for video recording.
Battery
iQOO 8 packs a 4,350 mAh battery and supports 120W ultra-fast charging. iQOO has the battery divided into two cells of 2,175 mAh each.
The battery fills fully in 18 minutes. Similarly, it has a USB Type-C port via which the battery charges.

iQOO 8 Price in Nepal and Availability
iQOO 8 price in China is CNY 3,799 for the 8/128 GB model and CNY 4,199 for the 12/256 GB model. Similarly, we expect the price of the iQOO 8 in Nepal to start at NPR 72,000 for the base model of 8/128 GB. On the other hand, the price of iQOO 8 in Nepal for the 12/256 GB may go up to NPR 80,000. However, there are no official words for the launch of the smartphone in Nepal.
