Vivo launched iQOO Neo 5 in March, and after two months, it has launched iQOO Neo 5 Lite with 5G support on 24th May 2021. It is the affordable version of iQOO Neo 5. The price of iQOO Neo 5 Lite 5G in China starts at CNY 2,299 (around NPR 41896). The expected price of iQOO Neo 5 Lite 5G in Nepal is NPR 50,000 for the base variant of 8/128 GB, NPR 55,000 for 8/256 GB, and NPR 60,000 for 12/256 GB.
iQOO Neo 5 Lite 5G Overview
Since iQOO Neo 5 Lite has similar specifications with iQOO Neo 5 in terms of processor, OS, and selfie camera, it differs in terms of display and refresh rate. Likewise, it has also made some upgrades in the battery department with the decline in the charging support.
Design and Build Quality
The smartphone flaunts a 6.57-inches FullHD+ LCD. The refresh rate of the display is 144Hz and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. Likewise, the screen supports HDR10. It measures a physical dimension of 164 x 75.5 x 8.9 mm.
The iQOO Neo 5 Lite features a triple camera on the back and a punch-hole selfie on the front. The selfie camera sits on the top-right corner, which is very rare in the smartphone as it usually sits on the top-left corner.
iQOO Neo 5 Lite is available in two color variants: Black and White. The smartphone weighs 198.3 grams.
A fingerprint reader is side-mounted for authentication.
Performance
The smartphone’s processing power comes from the Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G (7 nm). It is a 5G ready mobile platform. Adreno 650 handles the graphics in the smartphone.
The memory options for the smartphone are 8GB of RAM combined with either 128GB or 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM combined with 256GB of storage. The RAM type is LPDDR5.
iQOO Neo 5 Lite boots Android 11 based on OriginOS 10 under the hood. It also has a Super Liquid Cooling system, which helps to maintain the temperature in extreme conditions.
Camera
A triple camera on the rear is the primary camera, ultra-wide camera, and a macro camera. The wide-angle, i.e., the main camera is 48MP with an aperture of f/1.8. Similarly, the ultra-wide-angle camera is 8MP with a 120-degree field of view. And finally, the macro camera is 2MP with an aperture of f/2.4.
The rear camera can capture the footage in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 30fps.
A single front camera on the smartphone is 16MP with an aperture of f/2.0. It can record the footage in 1080p at 30fps.
Battery
Fueling the smartphone is a 4,500 mAh battery which was 4,400 mAh in the iQOO Neo 5. It supports 44W charging.
As per the Vivo, the battery gets up to 70% of the charge in 30 minutes.

iQOO has not entered Nepal yet, and again for iQOO Neo 5 Lite 5G, we can only expect the price in Nepal with less probability of the smartphone launching here. So, the possible price of iQOO Neo 5 Lite 5G is NPR 50,000 for the 8/128 GB variant, NPR 55,000 for the 8/256 GB variant, and NPR 60,000 for the 12/256 GB variant.
