Xiaomi Corporation, founded in April 2010, has been able to manufacture the best devices in the smartphone category. It launched a new device on 28th December 2020, Mi 11 – the new flagship from Xiaomi. Mi 11 is the new rival for the Samsung Galaxy S21.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Overview
Xiaomi has been offering plenty of premium devices in the Mi series. Mi 11 is a powerhouse of performance with the latest Snapdragon 888. It has flagship features like ultra-fast wireless charging, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a QHD+ screen. Likewise, the phone’s central selling point is its 4,600 mAh battery and its charging arena. But it does miss a proper camera, water resistivity, and a headphone port.
Design and Build Quality
Mi 11 features a 6.81-inches touch screen AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a touch sampling rate of 480Hz and a resolution of 1440 x 3200. Mi 11 has received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. Similarly, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects the screen. It has two versions, glass and leatherback, with 196 grams and 194 grams, respectively. The phone’s color variants are; Midnight Gray, horizon blue, Frost White in anti-glare frosted glass, and Lilac Purple and Honey Beige in vegan leather.
On the right, it has a volume rocker and a power button. SIM tray, USB Type-C port, microphone, and a speaker grille. A stereo speaker, noise canceller microphone, and an IR blaster are on the top. The camera on the front is at the top corner in a punch hole. Similarly, the triple-camera setup is at the back in a square with a rounded corner module.
In-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock are available. Both are fast and accurate. You can also test your heart rate with the fingerprint sensor.
Performance
One of the groundbreaking innovations is seen in the phone’s performance with the debut of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. The ultra-large core Arm Cortex-X1 has powerful computational ability while the A78 offers the best power efficiency, and the combination provides a 35% increase in performance and 20% more power efficiency. Also, the latest Adreno 660 GPU is 35% faster compared to the previous generation.
Mi 11 is available in three storage configurations: 8GB+ 128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB.
The phone runs Android 11 based on the latest MIUI 12.5 with new privacy and security updates. MIUI also offers maximum efficiency in multitasking between smartphones and computer with Android and Windows integration
Xiaomi Mi 11 has a dual speaker tuned by Harman Kardon, a famous audio brand. Hence the music and the audio will sound great.
Camera
The triple camera is 108MP primary camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera with 123-degree, and a 2MP macro camera. The primary camera features an 11.33″ large image sensor and supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
The phone also offers multiple built-in creative video software solutions. Video from the primary camera is recordable up to 8K. Many features are present in the camera, like panorama, night-mode, slow motion, document, vlog, and dual video.
The selfie camera is a 20MP camera.
Videos from the front camera are recordable at 1080p at 30/60fps and 720p at 120fps
Battery
The 4600 mAh battery ensures full-day battery life. The phone supports Mi Turbocharge 55W wired flash charging, which charges the device in just 45 minutes.
Similarly, it supports 50W wireless charging, filling the phone battery in 53 minutes. Finally, it also supports 10W wireless reverse charging.
