Gionee M12 Overview
Gionee M12 has an average performance, while the battery is massive and has impressive battery life. It has two variants in terms of the CPU.
Design and Build Quality
Gionee M12 has a 6.55-inches IPS LCD screen with a punch-hole design for housing a selfie camera. The display has a high resolution of 1600 x 700 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. Similarly, it measures a physical dimension of 163.9 mm x 76.8 mm x 9.3 mm.
It has a 3D curved design. A rectangular module with curved edges houses a quad-camera in the rear panel. The smartphone weighs 196 grams.
A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is available in the smartphone for biometrics. Gionee M12 is available in two color options of Magic Green and Dazzling Black.
Performance
Gionee M12 has two variants of chipset, which are Helio A25 and Helio P22. Helio P22 is an octa-core processor with the clocking speed of up to 2.0 GHz, whereas the Helio A25 has a clocking speed of up to 1.8 GHz. The variant with Helio P22 is available in Nepal.
On the other hand, Gionee M12 has PowerVR GE8320 for the graphical processing of the smartphone. Likewise, the smartphone has a RAM option of 4 GB and 6 GB. And the ROM options are 64 GB and 128 GB. The storage of the Gionee M12 is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone boots on Android 10 out of the box.
Camera
Gionee M12 features a quad camera on the rear. It has a 48 MP HD main camera with a large aperture of f/1.79. Below the main camera lies an ultra-wide-angle camera of 5 MP; it has a 115-degree field of view and an aperture of f/2.2. The other two cameras are a macro camera and depth camera of 2 MP each.
Gionee M12 flaunts a 16 MP front camera with high pixel quality. Both the front and rear cameras record the video in 1080p at 30fps.
Battery
A large battery of 5100 mAh fuels the smartphone that provides stronger endurance.
It has a self-developed power-saving system, which manages the daily task intelligently to save battery life. Similarly, the smartphone supports 5V 2A charging technology via a Type-C port.
