Vivo Y20s Overview
Design and Display
The Y20s is the same as the regular Y20 in almost all aspect, and the design is one of those. The device’s body measures 8.4 mm in thickness, weighs 192.3 grams, and is made from polycarbonate. The back panel on the device has a glossy finish, which gives it a premium look of glass and features a left-aligned rectangular camera module to house the camera setup.
The device offers a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels in a 20:9 aspect ratio. The halo screen features an Eye Protection Mode that filters out harmful blue light from the screen and a waterdrop notch to house the single selfie camera.
The device is available in Purist Blue and Obsidian Black color option.
Performance and Memory
The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset with Adreno 610 GPU, the same chipset used in the regular Y20.
However, while the regular Y20 maxed out on a memory configuration of 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, the Y20s offer larger internal storage with 4GB RAM configuration with 128 GB of internal storage. The internal storage of the Y20s can be further extended up to 256GB using the dedicated microSD card slot. The device runs on FuntouchOS 10.5 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Camera
The camera setup of the Y20s is the same as the regular Y20 with a triple rear camera consisting of a 13 MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The cameras and an LED flash are arranged vertically inside the camera module.
Similarly, the selfie camera is an 8 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. These cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 fps and support Portrait, Photo, Video, Panorama, Live Photo, Slo-mo, Time-Lapse, Professional shooting modes.
Battery
A massive 5000 mAh battery backs up the Y20G with the support of 18W fast charging, which can charge to 70% in 69 minutes. According to Vivo, one full charge can provide 16 hours of online HD video streaming or 11 hours of resource-intensive games. The device also supports reverse charging. However, the device still uses the micro USB.
