Realme Nepal launched a new smartphone – Realme 8, on 7^th June 2021 in Nepal. On 24rd March, Realme 8 was launched along with Realme 8 Pro. Realme 7 is the predecessor of the newly launched Realme 8.. Along with Realme 8, Realme Nepal also launched Realme Buds Air 2 and Realme Buds Air 2 Neo in Nepal.

Realme 8 Overview

Realme 8 is a budget-friendly smartphone with a decent gaming processor and fantastic display. It also has good options for storage and a great battery.

Design and Build Quality

A 6.4-inches screen of 2400 x 1080p resolution has FHD+ Super AMOLED full display. It has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It has a 60Hz refresh rate.

Realme 8 has a split design on the rear, fusing the real world and digital world. The rear is super shiny with “DARE TO LEAP” branding. It is made up of plastic but looks like glass. The smartphone is 177 grams. It is available in two color variants: Cyber Silver, Cyber Black

A 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, speaker, and a mic lie on the bottom, while the top has a noise-cancelling microphone. Similarly, the SIM card tray is on the left-hand side, whereas the right side has a power button and volume rocker.

An in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as Face unlock, are available. Getting the in-display fingerprint sensor for a budget-friendly smartphone is appreciable.

Performance

Realme 8 has a powerful Helio G95 gaming processor with 12 nm fabrication technology. It can clock up to the speed of 2.05GHz. CPU combines with a powerful ARM G76 GPU. The combination gives a high image quality and gaming experience. Likewise, the Copper Liquid Cooling technology has a 14.4% cooling efficiency.

The smartphone has three combinations of RAM and internal storage: 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB and 8/128 GB. The type of RAM is LPDDR4x, whereas the storage type is UFS 2.1.

Just like Realme 8 Pro, Realme 8 also boots Android 11 on top of realme UI 2.0.

Camera

A quad camera features a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, a macro lens of 2 MP, and a 2 MP B&W lens. The primary camera has an aperture of f/1.79. Similarly, the ultra-wide angle lens has a field of view of 119-degree. The macro lens in Realme 8 can have a 4cm shooting distance.

Realme has a 16 MP Selfie camera in a punch-hole.

You can also capture the dual-view video from the rear and front camera. The smartphone has a UIS Max video stabilization, providing greater stabilization to record the footage.

The rear camera can record the video up to 4K at 30fps. On the other hand, the front camera has the option of 1080p at 30/120fps and 720p at 30fps.

Battery

Realme 8 packs a 5000 mAh battery which can keep the phone on standby for up to 40 days. It supports a 30W Dart charge, charging the battery up to 100% in 65 minutes. The Fivefold Protection ensures protection while charging the smartphone. 

Features like Super Power Saving Mode and App Quick Freeze help extend the smartphone’s battery life. It also supports reverse charging. The battery gives you 43 hours of calling or 23 hours of video streaming, or 10 hours of gaming.
