Realme officially launched Realme Buds Air 2 in India along with the new Narzo 30 series smartphones, which include Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G and Realme Narzo 30A on 24th February 2021. The Realme Buds Air 2 is the latest TWS offering from the company and comes as the successor to the Realme Buds Air, which was launched last year. Realme has teamed up with an American electronic DJ duo, The Chainsmokers, to tune and promote Buds Air 2.
On 7th June 2021, Realme Nepal brought Realme Buds Air 2 along with Realme Buds Air 2 Neo and Realme 8 in Nepal. The official price of the Realme Buds Air 2 in Nepal is NPR 6,699.
Realme Buds Air 2 Overview
The Realme Buds Air 2 has brought all-round upgrades over its predecessor. It comes with Active Noise Cancellation support, which was not available in its successor Buds Air, upgraded latency, and playback time.
Design
As for the design, Realme Buds Air 2, like its predecessor Realme Buds Air has opted for an in-ear stem design similar to the Apple AirPods instead of the stemless design like the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. However, the earbuds now come with the ear tips, with a shiny finish on the stem and a matte finish on the ear tip.
The charging case of the earbuds is also now pebble-shaped. It features an LED indicator light and the company’s logo on the front. It is available in two colors: Closer Black and Closer White.
Audio
These earbuds feature 10nm Diamond-Class Carbon Hi-Fi drivers. Realme claims that the Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) diaphragm provides superior audio quality over the traditional diaphragm with richer bass, clearer sound, and better frequency response while being long-lasting.
Realme collaborated with The Chainsmokers to fine-tune the earbuds, which feature active noise cancellation (ANC). It also provides a better gaming experience with super-low latency mode, which can bring down the latency to 88ms.
Battery
Realme claims a total playback time of 25 hours on the device with the ANC turned off. However, with the ANC turned on, the playback time drops to 22.5 hours. The earbuds take 120 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%, and 10 minutes of charge can provide up to 2 hours of playback time.
