Realme has been gaining a lot of marketability with its successful launches of budget phones in Nepal. Realme launched its Realme 5 series – Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro in Nepal with updated design and hardware from their predecessor – Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro. The Realme 5 Pro price in Nepal is Rs. 26,990 for 4GB / 128GB variant and the higher-end option with 8GB / 128GB costs Rs. 31,500.
Realme 5 Pro Overview
The Realme 5 Pro is the upgraded version of the Realme 5 in terms of chipset selection but comes with a lower battery of 4035 mAh. In the mid-range smartphone market of Nepal, the Realme 5 Pro competes with Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Design and Display
Realme 5 Pro sports a new Crystal design and has a nanometer holographic color with the cutting texture. Like most budget phones, the device has a plastic body with a polycarbonate finish that gives the phone a glossy look yet a comfortable grip. Realme 5 Pro features two color options – Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue.
In the front, 5 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with an increased screen-to-body ratio of 90.6%, as claimed by the company. The display has a mini-drop notch that houses a selfie camera. It has 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 409 PPI density.
On the back, the Realme 5 Pro has a fingerprint scanner alongside its main highlight – 48MP AI Quad Camera setup and the Realme branding.
Camera
Coming to its main hyped feature, the Realme 5 Pro has a Quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary lens powered by Sony IMX 586 sensor that gives you ultra-high-resolution images and an optimized sensor for HDR mode and Super Nightscapes mode.
Accompanying it is an 8MP ultrawide lens that provides a 119-degree field of view, a 2MP ultra macro lens with a focal length of 4cm, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots.
On the front side, Realme 5 Pro has a 16MP selfie camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor inside the mini-notch. Video can be recorded at 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@960fps from the rear camera, and 1080p@30fps from the front selfie camera.
Performance
The processing of Realme 5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 with the newly upgraded 2.3GHz main frequency. Overall, it features high performance and low power consumption octa-core processor with 10nm advanced process technology. With the SDM712 chipset, Realme promises a 10% boost over its predecessor’s SDM710.
Realme 5 Pro gives you UFS 2.1 high-speed large memory storage for all variants with Hyper Boost 2.0 technology. The phone comes with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM paired with 64GB/128GB internal storage and a dedicated microSDX.
Moreover, the Realme 5 Pro runs on ColorOS 6 with Android 9 (Pie).
Battery
Realme 5 Pro operates with a 4035 mAh battery, which is less than the one in Realme 5, but the device supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. It ships with a 20W Fast Charger that charges your phone in just 1.38 hours as per the company claims.

Realme 5 Pro was available in two variants in Nepal. The 4/128GB variant of the Realme 5 Pro was priced at Rs. 26,990, and the higher-end with 8/128GB variant was priced Rs. 31,500. It was available in all official Realme stores and Daraz.
