iQOO 8 Pro with 120W Fast charging Officially Launched, Also supports Reverse Wireless Charging

Vivo launched two smartphones on 17th August 2021 under the iQOO subrand. The smartphones were iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. iQOO 8 Pro’s official price in China is CNY 4,999 for the 8/256 GB, CNY 5,499 for the 12/256 GB variant, and CNY 5,999 for the 12/512 GB. Accordingly, the expected price of the iOQQ 8 Pro in Nepal is NPR 100,000 for the base model, NPR 110,000 for the 12/256 GB model, and NPR 120,000 for the 12/512 GB model.

iQOO 8 Pro Overview

iQOO 8 Pro is the premium smartphone from the iQOO 8 Series. It excels in most aspects of the smartphone.

Design and Build Quality

A large 6.76-inches of Samsung E5 LTPO OLED display is available in the smartphone. It has a high resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. A variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz is present in the display. Likewise, the panel has 10-bit color and is reviewed by DisplayMate with an A+ grade.

Similarly, the smartphone weighs 205 grams. iQOO 8 Pro has two color options of Black and White. The white color has BMW M branding, while the Black color has carbon-fiber –like finishing.

IQOO 8 Pro has an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor. The technology is based on the ultrasonic principle, which is convenient and safer. As per the company’s claim, the smartphone gets unlocked in just 0.2 seconds.

Performance

Powering the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset built on a 5 nm manufacturing process. The octa-core processor of the smartphone has a clocking speed of up to 3.0G Hz. Vivo claims the processor to have performance increased by 7%. Likewise, it combines LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The smartphone’s available RAM and storage combinations are 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB storage.

The smartphone has liquid heat dissipation plates to provide faster heat conduction and better heat dissipation. For the graphical processing, iQOO 8 Pro has Adreno 660 as GPU.

iQOO 8 Pro runs on Android 11 based on OriginOS.

Camera

The smartphone sports a triple rear camera; the primary camera is a 50 MP Sony IMX766V sensor, an ultra-wide camera of 48 MP with a lens aperture of f/2.2 and 114-degree field of view.

And finally, a portrait camera is a 16 MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens. The primary sensor is also available in the Oppo Find X3 Pro and OnePlus Nord 2. For the video, it can record them in 8K at 30 fps and 1080p at 30fps.

For capturing selfies and video chatting, iQOO 8 Pro employs a 16 MP selfie camera whose lens is f/2.4. It can record the footage in 1080p at 30 fps.

Battery

A 4500 mAh battery fuels the iQOO 8 Pro. It supports the fast charging technology of 120W Flash Charge that charges the battery in 18 minutes. 

Likewise, the wireless charging technology can charge the battery to 100% in 42 minutes. It also supports reverse charging, making the smartphone act as a power bank. The wireless reverse charging of 10W supports Qi certification.

iQOO 8 Pro price in China is CNY 4,999 for the 8/128 GB model, CNY 4,199 for the 12/256 GB model, and CNY 5,999 for the 12/512 GB variant. Hence, we expect the price of the iQOO 8 Pro in Nepal to start at NPR 100,000 for the base model of 8/128 GB. Similarly, the price of iQOO 8 Pro in Nepal for the 12/256 GB is NPR 110,000 and NPR 120,000 for the 12/516 GB variant. Although we are not certain about the launch of the smartphone in Nepal.
