Tecno Spark 5 Pro Overview

Tecno Spark 5 Pro is a budget phone that comes in a powerful 5000 mAh battery, a big punch-hole display, a quad-camera setup, and Helio A25 SoC.

Design and Display

Tecno Spark 5 Pro has a unique style and an eye-catching design. The rear panel features elaborate textural curves and an incredible gradient color design. There is a quad-camera setup inside a rectangular camera module and a fingerprint sensor by its side. The optimized overall dimensions and 3D body radian make the device comfortable to hold.

Tecno Spark 5 Pro features a 6.6-inch dot-in display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The IPS LCD panel comes with a punch-hole design that houses a selfie camera at the top left corner. Moreover, the screen retains a screen-to-body ratio of 90.2%, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and up to 400 nits screen brightness.

Performance and Internals

Tecno Spark 5 Pro equips MediaTek Helio A25 SoC to deliver performance. It is a 12 nm process-based octa-core CPU with Cortex A53 cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz. The chipset selection is not suitable for gaming performance, but it can handle your daily operation and multitasking. 

Tecno has paired the processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable, for which you get a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, the device runs on HiOS 6.0 with an Android Q operating system. It integrates features like Google lens, GIF expressions, Dark Theme Mode, Social Turbo, Video Chat Beauty Mode, etc.

Camera

Tecno Spark 5 Pro boasts a quad rear camera aligned vertically and a quad-LED flash confined inside a rectangular camera module. It comprises a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots, a 2MP depth lens that gives AI Bokeh effect to the images, and an AI lens/AI Camera 3.0. 

The camera also offers 8x Digital Zoom Function and 14% sharpness improvement. Some of the camera function includes AI Scene Detection, AI HDR, AI Bokeh Effect, Macro Photography, and AI Body Shaping. 

Upfront, an 8MP AI Selfie Camera with an f/2.0 aperture size sits inside the circular cutout in the display. It features AI Beauty Mode, Portrait Bokeh Effect 2.0, AR Shot (AR Sticker), and Wide Selfie. Spark 5 Pro supports 120 Frame Slow Motion Photography. Besides, both front and rear cameras capture videos at 1080p@30fps.

Battery

Tecno Spark 5 Pro is powered by a massive 5000 mAh powerful battery with a smart power-saving system. However, there is no mention of fast charging technology support.
