Oppo has stretched their Reno sequence by launching Reno 6 series. It is the successor of Oppo’s previous Reno 5 series. The new Reno series includes three different variants as Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro and Reno 6 Pro Plus. The Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro are the standard variants and we will be further discussing about their specs, features and pricing.
Oppo Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro overview
Both standard variants feature a 32MP selfie camera and the same triple rear camera setup. however, some of the design aspects and internal specs are slightly different. Reno 6 has a box shaped body with flat display that looks similar to iPhone 12. Whereas, the Pro version has a curved edge screen. Moreover, both feature a 5G compatible Mediatek chipset and carry battery with 64W Fast charging support.
Design and Display
The flat screen with plain edges and less rounded corners of Reno 6 easily differentiates it from the Reno 6 Pro that has a curvature layout on screen and more rounded edges. The front has a punch hole cutout on the top left corner and has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Reno 6 has a thickness of 7.59mm and weighs 182 grams while Reno 6 Pro is 7.6mm thin weighing 177 grams.
Reno 6 features a 6.43-inch display and the Pro version has a 6.55-inch display. Both are AMOLED panel with an FHD resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. Both screens have 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The fingerprint scanner is in-display. The available color variations are: Summer Sunny Sea, Stars into a Dream and Night Sea.
Performance and Memory
They are both powered by Mediatek chipsets in which Reno 6 comes with Mediatek Dimensity 900 SoC, whereas Reno 6 Pro is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It is a mobile platform chipset that can handle all basic tasks and high end performances like gaming and streaming videos. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with ColorOS skin on top.
The available memory configurations are 8GB RAM with 128GB internal Storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage. There is also a memory expansion option via a microSD card slot which isn’t necessarily required with the massive internal space. You can store as much media and apps as you want and never run out of storage.
Camera
In terms of camera, Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro both feature the same camera systems. The rear has a triple camera that comprises a 64MP primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens.
At the front, the punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie camera for a delightful shot. You can shoot high quality pictures and record videos at high resolution.
Battery and Connectivity
Reno 6 carries a 4300mAh battery and the Reno 6 Pro has a 4500mAh battery. Both support 65W Fast charging that can fill up the battery within minimum time. The battery backup is good enough to deliver a standby for several hours of power consuming activities including playing videos, music playback and web surfing.
The mobile connectivity line includes 5G/4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability
The starting price of Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro in China is CNY 2,799 and CNY 3,499 respectively. The release date of the series in Nepal has not been announced yet. However, analyzing their international pricing, it might cost over NPR. 50,000.
