On 6th May 2021, Oppo introduced a new smartphone as Oppo K9 5G. It also introduces smart TV, a pair of TWS earbuds, and a fitness band at the launch event. The price of Oppo K9 5G in China is CNY 1,999 (around NPR 36,300) for 8/128 GB and CNY 2,199 for 8/256 GB. Oppo K9 5G Overview
Oppo K9 5G has a great display and performance; it is very lightweight. It also has fast charging support for the battery. The cooling technology in Oppo K9 5G performs at its best.
Design and Build Quality
Oppo K9 5G packs a 6.43-inches FullHD+ Super AMOLED display. It has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and possesses a refresh rate of 90Hz. A selfie camera is on the top-left in a punch-hole cutout. The resolution of the smartphone is 1080 x 2400 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 20:9.
On the rear, Oppo K9 5G houses a triple camera on the top-left side. The camera sits in the rectangular module. Along with the camera, it also has an LED flash. The smartphone has two color options: black and gradient. It has a thickness of 7.9 mm and weighs 172 grams.
The display has a sixth-generation fingerprint reader underneath. It works fast and accurately.
Performance
Oppo K9 5G is powered by Qualcomm SM7250-AC Snapdragon 768 5G, with a 7 nm fabrication process. Likewise, the octa-core processor has Kryo 475 Prime, clocking at the speed of 2.84 GHz. It has Kryo 475 Gold with a clocking speed of 2.4 GHz. And finally, Kryo 475 Silver with a speed of 1.8 GHz.
For sustained performance, Oppo K9 5G has a 3D liquid-cooling system consisting of a copper plate, a vapor chamber, and a multi-layer graphite sheet. Adreno 620 takes care of the graphics.
The base variant of the smartphone combines 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, whereas the other variant has 8 GB of RAM combined with 256 GB of inbuilt storage.
Oppo K9 5G runs Android 11 out of the box that is based on ColorOS 11.1
Camera
For photography and videography, Oppo K9 5G features four cameras: a triple rear camera and a single front camera. The rear camera comprises a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera.
The rear camera can record the footage in 4K at 30 frames per second (fps) and 1080 at 30 or 60 fps.
Oppo K9 5G flaunts a 32 MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4. It can capture the video in 1080p at 30fps.
Battery
Oppo K9 5G packs a Li-Po 4300 mAh non-removable battery. It supports 65W fast charging through a USB Type-C port.
As per the advertisement, it takes 35 minutes for the battery to fill 100% charge.
