On 27th May 2021, Oppo launched Oppo Enco Free 2 earbuds alongside Oppo Reno 6 Series, which consists of Oppo Reno 6 Pro+, Oppo Reno 6 Pro, and Oppo Reno 6. It is a TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbud. The price of Oppo Enco Free 2 earbuds in China is CNY 599 (around NPR 10880). So, the expected price of Oppo Enco Free 2 in Nepal is NPR 12,000.
Oppo Enco Free 2 Overview
Oppo Enco Free 2 is the successor to Oppo Enco Free, which was launched about a year ago. Meanwhile, the earbuds borrow most of the features from Oppo Enco X.
Design and Build Quality
Oppo Enco Free 2 has a design inspired by Apple’s Airpod Pro, just like its previous generation had. The earbuds offer an in-ear design for comfortability and good grip with silicone tips. In addition, they are IP54 water and dust-resistant. The earbuds have two color options: Black and White.
The earbuds weigh 4.4 grams each. The charging case is egg-shaped; it has an LED indicator to indicate the battery on the front. It also features a button on the right. Likewise, the total weight of the earbuds, together with the charging case, is 47.6 grams.
Audio
According to the Oppo, the earbuds can cancel out up to 42dB of surrounding noise due to ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature. The sound comes through a 10 mm driver. Likewise, it tunes the noise in tandem with Dynaudio. The earbuds also support AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) and SBC (Sub-band Coding) audio codecs.
Likewise, it offers a special low latency mode for gaming. The minimum latency is 47 ms, as per Oppo’s claim.
Features
The earbuds can automatically connect once they pair and automatically pause the music when the earbuds are taken off from the ear.
The earbuds act as a remote shutter for the paired smartphone. They also have an anti-wind noise algorithm with three microphones to assist noise reduction during the call. In addition, a transparent mode is available when the user wants the ambient noise to come through.
Connectivity
The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, it is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
Battery
Each earbud of Oppo Enco Free 2 has a 41 mAh cell, while the case has a battery of 480 mAh. It charges via a USB Type-C port. According to Oppo’s claim, the battery lasts for up to 4 hours with ANC on.
On the other hand, the battery lasts for 2.5 hours while the ANC is off. Moreover, the case can extend the battery for up to 20 hours and 30 hours, respectively.
