HMD Global launched three smartphones on 26th July 2021. They were the Nokia XR20, Nokia 6310, and Nokia C30. Talking about Nokia C30, it is a new member of the C-Series of the brand. It is also tagged as the “King of the C-Series.” The smartphone is a low-budget smartphone and may enter in the list of best smartphones under 15000 in Nepal. Here, we will explore more about Nokia C30.

The price for the Nokia C30 in Europe is EUR 99, which is around 13908. Hence, the Nokia C30’s expected price in Nepal is NPR 12,000 for the 3/64 GB model.

Nokia C30 Overview

Nokia C30 is an interesting smartphone with a large screen, a dual camera, a large battery, and an affordable price. 

Design and Build Quality

Nokia C30 has a 6.82-inches of a large screen. It is a dew-drop screen with HD+ resolution. While the bezels around are relatively thin, the bottom has a significant bezel. The smartphone has a polycarbonate shell.

Nokia C30 houses the front camera inside the dew-drop notch. Similarly, the dual rear camera sits inside a circular module. Aside from the camera, an LED flash sits outside the circular module.

Nokia C30 also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Similarly, it has a micro USB charging port to draw the battery life. Nokia C30 is available in two color options of Dark Grey and White. The smartphone weighs 237 grams.

For the security, Nokia 30 has both – fingerprint sensor and face unlock. The fingerprint reader lies on the rear panel below the camera.

Performance

Powering the Nokia C30 is a Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It is an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A55 cores at the clocking speed of 1.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores with the clocking speed of 1.2GHz. The storage option has the combination of RAM and ROM as 2/32 GB, 3/32 GB, and 3/64 GB. Additionally, the storage is also expandable via a microSD card for up to 256 GB.

Nokia promises two years of security updates for the Nokia C30. The smartphone runs Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. It is Google’s trimmed-down OS designed for dirt-cheap smartphones.

As Nokia smartphones come pre-installed with Spotify, Nokia C30 is no exception.

Camera

Nokia C30 features a dual rear camera. The primary camera of the Nokia C30 has a 13 MP sensor. Below the main sensor, it has a depth camera of 2 MP. Likewise, the main camera has autofocus.

Similarly, the front camera on the Nokia C30 is a 5 MP sensor for video calling and taking selfies.

Battery

A Li-Po 6,000 mAh non-removable battery fuels the smartphone. According to Nokia’s claim, the battery lasts for up to 3 days. It supports 10W charging.

Nokia is selling Nokia C30 in Europe at EUR 99 for the 3/64 GB model. The smartphone may also arrive in Nepal, and we expect the Nokia C30 price in Nepal to be around Rs. 12,000 for the 3/64 GB model. However, the exact launch date of the smartphone in Nepal is not declared yet.
