Nokia C2: Another Entry-Level Smartphone Launched in Nepal

Nokia C2 is an entry-level smartphone in the Nokia C series lineup from the company. It comes as the successor to the Nokia C1. Recently, Nokia started rolling out good value for money devices under the entry-level category, and Nokia C2 also falls under the category.

Teletalk Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of Nokia devices in Nepal, has now launched Nokia C2 in Nepal. The official price of Nokia C2 in Nepal is Rs. 9,299 for the configuration of 1 GB RAM with 16 GB of internal storage.

Nokia C2 is an entry-level smartphone with a good value-for-money spec. The device also supports 4G, which is not often seen in devices at this price.

Design and Display

Design-wise the device is very similar to its predecessor, the Nokia C1, with similar bezels and back panel. However, the Nokia C2 stands a bit taller due to its increased display size. The plastic body of the device measures 8.9 mm in thickness and weighs 161 grams.

It offers a 5.7 inches IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels in an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen is surrounded by thick bezels on the top and bottom chin. The top bezels feature an earpiece, the selfie camera, an LED flash, and the company’s logo.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Nokia C2 is powered by the Unisoc quad-core chipset. The Unisoc processor has a maximum clock speed of 1.4 GHz. It is available in the memory configuration of 1 GB RAM coupled with 16 GB of internal storage. It offers a dedicated microSD card slot to extend the internal storage of the device when needed.

As for the software part of the device, it comes with an Android Pie (Go edition) preloaded, which provides a near-stock android feel.

Camera

Both the rear and the selfie camera setup of the device features a 5 MP sensor with an LED flash. The rear camera of Nokia C2 features a lens with a smaller aperture of f/2.2 compared to its predecessor. Both of these setups are capable of taking 720p videos at 30 fps.

The device packs a 2800 mAh removable battery. For connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0. The most significant upgrade of the device from its predecessor is the support for 4G. It also features a dedicated Google Assitant button.
