Huawei Launches its MatePad Pro 2021 Version with the All New Harmony OS 2.0

Huawei released its most anticipated Harmony OS 2.0 along with some Huawei devices with the new version OS pre-installed. Some of the new devices featuring Harmony OS 2.0 include Huawei smartwatches and its flagship tablet Matepad Pro 2021. There are no smartphones launched with the OS 2.0; however, some previous Huawei models can upgrade and run the new OS. Here, we will check out the specs and features of the Huawei MatePad Pro 2021.

Huawei MatePad Pro 2021 Overview

Huawei MatePad Pro 2021 comes with a freshly improvised system and features support. The display is wide with very thin bezels and also the home screen has been redesigned for an enhanced user experience. Design and Display

It has a sleek design with a 184.7 x 286.5 x 6.7mm body dimension weighing 609g. The bezels around the front screen have been trimmed down to 5.6mm with no notch or a punch-hole cutout. A dual-camera system with AI integration is set at the back in a rectangular bump. There are three color variations available – Silver Frost, Matte Grey and Olive Green.

The tablet features a 12.6-inches Full-view OLED display panel with 1600 x 2560-pixels screen resolution. It achieves a 90% screen-to-body ratio while the screen covers a wide DCI-P3 color gamut individually adjusted for high color accuracy. It also supports other display enhancement features like TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0, DC dimming and Delta E.

Performance and Compatibility

MatePad Pro 2021 is powered by Huawei’s in-house chipset HiSilicon Kirin 9000E, a modified version of the standard Kirin 9000. The Harmony OS 2.0 makes the system more dynamic for versatile app support. MatePad Pro’s default app multiplier can run different tasks of the same app autonomously in landscape mode. You also get customizable widgets and landscape mode with more than 3000 apps.

The tablet is compatible with various external input devices such as a magnetic keyboard, wireless charger and the second-generation M-Pencil stylus. The Free-Script feature allows users to write anything anywhere on the screen and convert their handwriting into text. It also supports voice control and speech-to-text feature via a dedicated button.

Other Specs

The dual rear camera system comprises a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera, sustained by a 3D ToF sensor to determine the subject’s detailed depth. An LED flash is also added along with the camera sensors housed inside a rectangular module. The front has an 8MP selfie camera.

You will find a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The internal space is expandable using an NM card. The audio system has eight speakers and four microphones, including linear array and rear microphones with AI noise cancellation.

The tablet packs a huge 10,500mAh battery that Huawei claims to endure up to 14 hours of continuous performance. It can connect a wireless charger, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, OTG.

MatePad Pro 2021 has been launched in China at the starting price of 4,999 Yuan for Wi-Fi only variant and 7,999 Yuan for the 5G variant. It will go on sale from June 10 and will probably be available in Nepal soon.
