Beats has launched its second pair of True Wireless Stereo earbuds. The new Beats Studio Buds interpret a completely different design than the previous TWS Powerbeats Pro. Beats Studio Buds Overview
Beats Studio Buds are stylish earbuds that give an immersive audio experience. It supports some fast features such as Siri and Find My Device in respect with both Apple and Android platforms. With the easy device control system and hours lasting battery, you can freely enjoy your music playback anywhere and anytime.
Design and Build Quality
Studio Buds have no resemblance at all with the Powerbeats Pro. It has a more compact in-ear design excluding parts like ear hooks and extended stem, which makes the earbuds very lightweight and comfortable to use. The charging case is oval shaped with an LED indicator on the front and a USB-C port on the bottom.
The earbuds weigh 5.1 grams each and 53 grams with the case which includes three sizes of Silicone ear tips. There are physical button controls on either end on the buds. It is IPX4 certified sweat and water resistant and available in three different color variations – Red, Black and White.
In-built Features
Studio Buds feature acoustic architecture that integrates 8.2mm dual-element diaphragm drivers. The company claims that the earbuds offer an outstanding stereo separation and low harmonic distortion across the frequency curve. Moreover, the active noise cancellation reduces the surrounding noises to enhance the sound quality.
It also enables Apple’s Spatial Audio for a more immersive and cinematic audio experience. This is a dedicated service only for Apple Music subscribers. You can access a Transparency mode that enhances the external sound and allows you to hear them clearly via the outside facing microphones.
Controls and Compatibility
The physical control buttons have multifunctional settings. Users can play or pause music on a single tap, change track on double tap and triple tap skips back the playlist. Long pressing on the button activates the transparency mode.
The earbuds have feature compatibility for both iOS and Android. iPhone users can get a simple setup and Control Center similar to AirPods. It also supports hands-free Siri commands. On Android, Studio Buds support features like Fast Pair and Google’s Find My Device.
Battery
The battery can last for 5 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. When the ANC is turned off, it can last for 8 hours. The case provides for two extra rounds of charging with up to 24 hours of battery backup.

The Beats Studio Buds are available on sale in the US for $149.99 and will go to stores from June 24. The estimated price for the TWS in Nepal is NPR 22,000 and it might launch soon.
