Realme C2 Price in Nepal: Realme Drops The Phone Price

Realme has made a name for itself in the Nepal market with its value-for-money phones. Realme introduced the Realme C2 to the Nepali market which was well-received by the Nepali audience. C2 is a budget contribution from Realme and is the successor of the Realme C1. However, Realme Nepal needed to lower the price of Realme C2 to compete with Xiaomi.

The Realme C2 is priced at Rs. 14,390 for 2/32GB variants and Rs. 12,990 for the 2/16GB variant. So, is this device worth the cost?

Realme C2 Overview

Design and Display

Display & Design

Most budget smartphones are designed to be transparent so that prices are low and maintain good performance. The Realme C2 looks a bit different here because it looks cool. Like any other budget smartphone, the C2 body is plastic, but it has a unique geometric design-cut pattern on the back panel that gives it a premium look. Besides, the phone has rounded edges that provide a good grip for users and are well-designed.

There is a dual-camera setup with a single-LED flash at the back. Like its predecessor Realme C1, Realme C2 also misses out on the fingerprint scanner to keep costs down. Also, the Realme C2 offers a great display with the water-drop style notch housing a selfie camera at the top.

The Realme C2 features a 6.1 inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The small bezels on all sides help to retain a screen-to-body ratio of 89.35% that gives a beautiful flagship look to the device. Overall, the device looks attractive and elegant.

Performance and Storage

Processor and Storage

The Realme C2 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, which is a sufficient octa-core processor with Cortex-A53 cores for a budget device that offers a smooth and reliable experience. It is built using a 12nm manufacturing process. The processor is backed by IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

It’s a very small improvement from the previous Snapdragon 450, at least on paper, and it’s much better than the A22 processor you usually get on most entry-level devices. The performance is complemented by 2GB / 3GB of RAM. For internal storage, the device gets 16GB and 32GB but that can be expanded up to 256GB with MicroSD.

Overall, the Realme C2 offers acceptable performance for its price. However, its processing is not yet strong enough to support the smooth flow of daily activities and is definitely not built for competitive gaming.

As for the OS, Realme C2 runs on ColourOS 6.0 Lite with Android 9 Pie on top, which is the latest version of Android.

Camera

Realme C2 has a dual AI camera setup in the back comprising a 13 MP primary sensor of f/2.2 aperture size couple with a 2 MP depth sensor of f/2.4 aperture. The camera has a Bokeh Effect for portraits and Chroma Boost for balanced images.

Upfront, the device has a 5 MP Selfie Shooter in the notch with an aperture size of f/2.0. This AI camera is powered by HDR, Beautification, and facial unlock features.

Videos can be recorded at 1080p@30fps for both the rear and the front. However, it does not have video stabilization. Also, Slo-Mo videos can be recorded at 480p@80fps. Considering the price of the phone, the camera performance on this device is good.

Battery

Being a low-budget device, the Realme C2 battery is a large 4,000mAh that provides good battery life. It charges with a 10-Watt charger and using a micro-USB slot, which takes over 2 hours to recharge the battery. However, battery life is good that can last for 2-days on normal usage. Therefore, this device offers good battery performance at its price.
