Oppo A9 2020 is a mid-range smartphone launched back on September 23, 2019, alongside the A5 2020 smartphone in the Nepali market.
Oppo has now dropped A9 2020 in Nepal by Rs 2000 from its initial launch price of Rs. 35590. The new price of A9 2020 in the Nepali market is Rs. 33,590 for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

Design and Display
The body of the Oppo A9 2020 has an appealing design and glossy finish even though it is polycarbonate. The back panel features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and vertical camera module to house the rear camera setup.
The Oppo A9 2020 offers a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels in an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen features a waterdrop notch to house the single front-facing camera. The phone body has a screen-to-body ratio of 89% and ~270 PPI density. The display has a maximum brightness of up to 480 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The device measures 9.1mm in thickness, weighs 195 grams, and is available in three colors: Space Purple, Marine Green, and Vanilla Mint.
Performance and Memory
The A9 2020 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and Adreno 610 GPU. The phone comes in the configuration of 8 GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 126 GB of internal storage. However, only the 8GB RAM variant is available in Nepal.
The device’s internal storage can also be further expanded by 256 GB with the dedicated microSD card slot. Out of the box, the phone runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.
The Oppo A9 2020 offers a rear quad camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor of f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide sensor of f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor of f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup can record 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p, and 720p videos at 30fps and features Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).
The phone’s front camera is a 16 MP sensor of f/2.2 aperture inside the waterdrop notch. It can take up to 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The camera features Photo, video, professional mode, panorama, portrait, night scene, time-lapse photography, and slow-motion shooting modes.
A massive 5000 mAh battery backs up the Oppo A9 2020. The device has a thick body of 9.1 mm to house this massive battery. The device supports reverse charging and can act as a power bank to charge other devices when needed.
