Lava is a long-forgotten name in the smartphone market and was almost on the brink of extinction. Lava Benco V7 is the latest addition to the Benco series from the company, which serves the entry-level segment.
Design and Display
The benco series is initially targeted at youths, and it can be seen in the design aspect of the device. The plastic panel on the rear of the device features a gradient color design with geometric patterns, which provides it with an attractive design for the phone in this category.
Upfront, it offers a 6.1 inches IPS LCD panel with an HD resolution of 600 x 1280 pixels in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen features a dewdrop notch to house the selfie camera, which is just a fancier name for a waterdrop notch.
Performance and Memory
The device is powered by the Unisoc SC9832e processor coupled with the Mali T820 GPU. It is available in the memory configuration of 2 GB RAM with 16 GB of internal memory and can be extended to 128 GB with an external SD card slot. As for the software, the device runs on Star OS 5.1, which is based on Android 9 Pie.
Camera
It features a single camera setup on both the rear and the front of the device. The rear camera features an 8 Megapixel sensor inside the camera module with an LED flash. Upfront, the selfie camera of the device is a 5 MP sensor that is used for Face Unlock. Both of these cameras feature Beautification mode, while the bokeh effect is only available in the front camera.
