Huawei launched the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro a month ago in Nepal. And now it has come up with a new smartwatch Series – Huawei Watch 3 Series with HarmonyOS 2.0. Huawei launched the Huawei Watch 3 Series on 2nd June 2021 in China. The series consists of two models- Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro. The price of the smartwatches in China is CNY 2,599 and CNY 3,299 for the Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro, respectively.

The expected price of the Huawei Watch 3 in Nepal is NPR 50,000, whereas the predicted price of the Huawei Watch 3 Pro in Nepal is NPR 65,000.

Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro Overview

The latter, as the name suggests, is built with premium material and has better battery life. Both the smartwatches feature Huawei’s homemade OS – HarmonyOS.

Design and Build Quality

The smartwatches have a circular finish with a rounded screen, offering a classic look and flowing feel. It has a 1.43-inches AMOLED display.

Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have a 3D rotating crown and use a high-response touch-sensitive screen, which lets you control the watch. On rotating the crown, you can easily scroll through on-display features and volume settings.

The strengthened glass protects the display of the Huawei Watch 3. It has a watch body of high-quality steel, and the back is ceramic-made. It is water-resistant to up to 5 ATM. Likewise, the physical dimension of the watch is 46.2 x 46.2 x 12.15 mm. The smartwatch weighs 54 grams without a strap.

The Huawei Watch 3 Pro watch body is titanium-made and has its display protected by sapphire glass. It measures 48 x 48.6 x 14 mm of physical dimension and weighs 63 grams without a strap.

The smartwatches have 30 pre-installed watch faces that include animated faces as well. In addition, Huawei Watch Face Store also has 1000+ designs available. Also, you can make the watch faces by creating your own animated watch faces using 5-10 seconds of short videos from your phone.

Software

The Huawei Watch 3 Series is the first smartwatch to have Huawei’s operating system Harmony OS; it is open-source.

The brand has now added video calling features through the MeeTime app. Due to the Harmony OS, you can now use the watch as a remote and transfer video calls from the phone to the Smart TVs running the same OS.

With eSIM technology, you can use smartwatches as a stand-alone communication device. It allows you to make calls, play music, and download apps without being connected to your phone.

Health and fitness tracking

Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro can detect the temperature of your body via Skin Temperature Detector. It has smart data to help your health and fitness journey; you can record it on your Huawei Health App and view the progress easily and clearly.

Likewise, they also measure your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) via TruSeen 4.5+. It uses advanced light technology to detect blood-oxygen molecules accurately, even in low temperature and high-altitude conditions.

Similarly, Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have a newly upgraded TruSeen 4.5 heart rate monitoring technology with 6-inches 1 LED and 4 photodiodes for more light intake. Also, the advanced algorithms provide more accurate heart-rate monitoring accuracy.

It has 100+ workout modes, among which 19 are pro modes for indoor and outdoor sports, and 85 are custom modes. The health data are displayed clearly in the Huawei Health app on your phone.

For emergency conditions, you can call the emergency services by pressing 5 times on the Up button or switching to emergency mode and alerting your designated contact.

Battery

You can use the Huawei phone to reverse charge the smartwatches. Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro pack a dual-chipset architecture to enhance the power performance and achieve balanced processing. With the combination of Smart Power Saving Algorithm 3.0, the battery life can support 24/7 health and fitness monitoring for days.

Huawei Watch 3 has a typical three days of battery life in the smart mode and 14 days of battery life in the ultra-long battery life mode.

On the other hand, Huawei Watch 3 Pro has five days of battery life in the typical smart mode while it has 21 days of battery life in ultra-long battery life mode.
