Honor 9X is the latest Honor device under the Honor 9 series lineup to be launched in Nepal. The Honor 9X is the mid-range phone from the company. It first made its debut with Honor 9X Pro in China back in July; however, the device’s international variant only just launched in Nepal.
The phone offers a notch-less screen with a motorized pop-up camera to house the front-facing camera. The official price of Honor 9X in Nepal is Rs. 29,990 for the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage.
Honor 9X Overview
Honor 9X is the phone targeted for younger customers with its unique design, color scheme, and motorized pop-up camera module, which provides it a very cool look. Let’s look at the specification of the device in detail.
Design and Display
Design is one of the strongest aspects of Honor 9X. The device has a premium-looking body with a glass back and aluminium side frames. The glass back features a cool design with holographic X reflection. The device measures 8.8 mm in thickness and weighs 196.8 grams.
On the front, it offers a 6.59- inches IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen has a notch-less design with minimum bezels with a motorized pop-up selfie camera system.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, Honor 9X is powered by the Kirin 710F processor with a Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, which is a step down from the Chinese variant of the device. It is available in the memory configuration of 6 GB RAM coupled with 128 GB of internal storage extendable using the hybrid microSD/Sim card slot. As for the software aspect, it runs on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0.
Camera
The module on the back of the phone features a vertically arranged triple camera setup consisting of a 48 MP primary lens of f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor of f/2.4 aperture.
The selfie camera on the device is a 16 MP sensor of f/2.2 aperture housed inside the motorized pop-up camera module, providing a notch-less design to the device. Both of these cameras can record 1080p videos at 60 fps.
Battery
The device packs a 4000 mAh battery with 10W charging over a USB type C port. It is important to note that the 10W charging is not fast charging, so it takes quite a time to reach full charge. For biometrics, it provides a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel of the device.
