Realme GT Master Edition and Explorer Master Edition have been launched globally. The company has debuted its latest mid-range smartphone in China few weeks ago. Realme intends to offer a premium standard phone at an affordable price range. Hence the new launches pack some high end specs for a medium budget. In this article, we will discuss about the features and availability of both Realme GT Master Edition and Explorer Master Edition in Nepal.
Realme GT Master Edition Series Overview
Realme offers high level performance and a glamorous design on GT Master Edition series. It features a triple rear camera and a 32MP front camera. The displays have Super AMOLED screens with maximum refresh rate and touch sampling rate. Both GT editions are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. Long lasting battery with fast charging is another highlighting feature.
Design and Display
Realme GT Master Edition phones have a unique design in comparison with the standard GT version. Realme has collaborated with famous Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for the design. The rear panels are made up of vegan leather and have rigged patterns as referenced from a suitcase. There is also frosted glass back version for customers who prefer mainstream design. The available color variations are Voyager Grey, Luna White and Cosmos Black.
Realme GT Explorer Master Edition flaunts a 6.55 inches curved edge Super AMOLED display with 480Hz touch sampling rate and 1100nits brightness. Likewise, the Master Edition features a 6.43 inches Super AMOLED display with 360Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 1000nits. Both displays support 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. For biometrics, there is optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, Relame GT Explorer Master Edition comes with flagship chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G built on 7nm process. It delivers 42% faster performance than Snapdragon 860. Similarly, the Master Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G, which makes it the first to integrate this chipset. It is based on Octa-core processor with 1×2.4 GHz Kryo 670 Prime & 3×2.2 GHz Kryo 670 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 670 Silver.
In terms of memory, the Explorer edition is available in 8GB/12GB RAM with 128GB/256GB internal storage. Whereas, the Master edition comes in 6/8GB RAM variants and 128/256GB of internal memory configurations. Both run on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top.
Camera
Both master editions feature triple rear camera setup and a punch hole housed front camera. GT Explorer Master Edition comprises 50MP Sony IMX766 as primary camera accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor.
GT Master Edition has 64MP primary camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Both have 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie shooter. The given camera specs provide all freedom for users to shoot high quality photos and videos.
Battery and Connectivity
Realme GT Explorer Master Edition is fueled by a 4500mAh battery and the Master Edition is backed up by a 4300mAh battery. Both devices support 65W SuperDart charge for super-fast refill.
The connectivity line includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.2, A2DP, LE, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go. The Explorer Edition boosts dual speaker but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack in any.

Realme GT Master Edition is set to launch in India next week. The starting price for 8GB +128GB variant is $499 and $549 for 12GB+256GB variant. It will soon be available in Nepal as well.
