Oppo A1k is an entry-level smartphone from the company. It was launched in Nepal in July 2019 with an initial launch price of Rs. 17,590. The device has now got a price cut of Rs. 2800 and the new price of the device in the Nepali market is Rs. 14,790.

Design and Display
The device features a 6.1 –inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels in the aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen features a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera. With the thin bezels around the screen and the waterdrop notch, the device’s screen to body ratio is 87.43%. The display of the device is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The phone contains a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0, speaker and microphone on the bottom, a power button on the right and volume rockers, and a sim tray on the left.
The polycarbonate body of the device measures 8.4 mm in thickness, weighs 170 grams. It is available in Black and Red options.
Performance and Memory
The Oppo A1k is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device is available in a single memory configuration of 2GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device’s internal storage can be further extended up to 256 GB using the dedicated microSD card slot. The device runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.0 out of the box.
Camera
Both the front and back camera setup on the device features a single lens. The rear camera is an 8MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Similarly, the selfie camera is a 5 MP lens with an f/2.0 aperture housed inside the waterdrop notch.
The back camera setup can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps. The camera setup features a bokeh effect and beautification mode. The front camera is also be used to unlock the device with the Face Unlock Feature, which is the only biometric option in the device.
Battery
The Oppo A1k phone is backed up by a 4000 mAh non-renewable battery. The battery is the major highlight of the device. Oppo claims the device to last a whole day (up to 17 hours) without charging.
The device does not feature any fingerprint sensor, so the Face Unlock feature is the only biometric option on the phone.
